W-DMX 512 ist die neue Lösung für die Funkübertragung von DMX-512 Daten und
basiert auf Frequenzhopping-GFSK Modulation aus dem Bereich der mobilen
Telephonie. Mit dieser Technologie kann das System DMX 512 Daten zur gleichen
Zeit senden und empfangen und sorgt für eine reibungslose Steuerung der ange-
schlossenen Geräte ohne Störung.
Notfalls kann das Signal auch durch Wände übertragen werden, eine direkte
Sichtverbindung ist jedoch zu bevorzugen. Mit der Standard Antenne kann das
Signal indoor bis 50 m und outdoor bis 300 m übertragen werden. Mit einer exter-
nen Antenne sind Reichweiten bis 3000m (in Europa) und 5000 m ( in USA) möglich.
W-DMX unterstützt bis zu 16 mal DMX 512. In der Standardversion ist der Sender
mit 512 Kanälen ausgestattet und kann bis auf 2048 bzw. 8192 DMX-Kanäle aufge-
rüstet werden. Eine Transmitter kann eine unbegrenzte Anzahl von Empfängern
bedienen. Die Einstellungen zwischen den verschiedenen DMX 512 werden auto-
matisch durch den Receiver vorgenommen. Das System ist auf Multicast ausgelegt
und kann ohne weiteres z.B. 24 Moving- Lights direkt ohne Kabel ansteuern.
Die Einstellungen für das W-DMX können sehr einfach mit den Knöpfen neben dem
Display vorgenommen werden. Alle Funktionen und Einstellungen sind in den
Mikroprocessor integriert und Funktionen wie DMX Test, Signalqualität und
Frequenztest sind ganz einfach abzurufen. Um Einstellungen vorzunehmen oder
Parameter zu ändern ist kein Computer nötig und als zusätzliche Option gibt es eine
Software mit dem Namen "Whats Up" mit der sehr einfach im WYSIWIG – Mode
gesehen werden kann, welche Systeme in Betrieb sind und das alles funktioniert.
Das System wurde entwickelt für architekturorientierte und professionelle
Lichtsysteme und verfügt über sehr kompakte Abmessungen und geringste
Gewichte. W-DMX ist zukunftssicher und funktionert mit DMX 512-A und ACN. Alle
Updates können über BIOS-Upgrade durchgeführt werden durch eine Terminal
Verbindung.

The new wireless solution of sending and receiving DMX 512 is based on mobile
phone technology called frequency hopping GFSK modulation . With this technology
the system can send and receive DMX 512 signal on several frequency at the same
time . This to assure that there will not be a problem with controlling the fixtures wire-
less without cables and fuzz.
The system can be used to send signal thru walls but line of sight is preferred for best
result. With standard antenna indoor use the distance is up to 50 m indoor and out-
door up to 300 m. With external antenna it’s up to 3000 m.
W-DMX support up to 16 universes of DMX 512. The transmitter in standard version
is with 512 DMX Channels and possible to upgrade to 2048 or 8192 channels of DMX
512. One transmitter can send to unlimited receivers.the settings between the uni-
verses are automatically done on the receiver.The system is done for multicast and it’s
very simple and safe to control for example 24 moving lights totally wireless with the
W-DMX System. Settings and parameters for the W-DMX is easy configured in the
transmitter via the 6 button on the left side of the display, all functions and setting is
built in the microprocessor and easy controlled. You can easily control functions like
DMX tester, signal quality, Hz frequency and more, There is no need for computer to
make the settings or to adjust the parameters. As an extra option we have developed
a software called "What`s up” and with this surveillance system you easy in WYSI-
WIG mode overlook the system and that all units is up and running.
The system is developed with the architectural and professional lighting systems in
mind with very compact size and very low weight. W-DMX is prepared for the future
with both DMX-512-A and CAN.All updates are done by upgrading BIOS in the futu-
re thru terminal connection.
