Brake Pad Inspection
The brake pads must be inspected when specified in the
maintenance schedule. See the Maintenance Schedule on
page
5.2 for additional information. Visually inspect the
brakes by looking at the remaining brake pad material
through the sides of the brake caliper. Replace the brake
pads if either pad’s thickness is 0.053 in (1.35 mm) or less.
If the brake pads (A) are worn, replace both brake pads
immediately.
The brake rotor should
also be checked for
thickness. The minimum
thickness is 0.15 in (3.85
mm).

Rear
CAUTION: The shock abso
rber assembly contains highly
pressurized gas.
Do not attempt to tamper with or open the cylinder or
shock.
Do not subject the shock to high temperature or open
flame.

the above actions can cause
the cylinder or shock to explode causing personal injury or
death.
