Unpack the ZIPPER plate compactor ZI-
RPE60 / ZI-RPE90 and control whether it is in
a perfect condition and whether all the parts
are included in delivery.

2.3.1 Intended usage
The ZIPPER plate compactors ZI-RPE60 and
ZI-RPE90 are only admitted for the following
works at observance of the safety-, opera-
tion- and maintenance instructions:

Earth works
Street maintenance
Landscaping

Fuel
tank
cap
Take off this cap and pour in
unleaded petrol. Take care that
the cap is fastened well. Do not
overfill the fuel tank.

Throttle
control
For adjusting the engine speed
(fast- slow).

Cable
control
starter
For starting the engine.

Starter
handle
Pull powerfully for starting the
engine.

Petrol
cock
OPEN – for flowing of the petrol
CLOSE – stopping the petrol flow

Choke
When the engine is cold you have
to use the choke. It concentrates
the fuel mixture.

Air
cleaner
It is a filter against dust in the
fuel system.

Spark
plug
The distance of the spark plug
should be adjusted on 0.6 -
0.7mm (0.028- 0.031 inch). Clean
it once a week.

Steam
For reducing the sound and the
emissions.
