The UltraLevel 6 comes with
batteries, ready for use.
PREPARATION FOR USE

Press ON/OFF button located on
the side the UltraLevel 6 to turn
unit on or off.
Note: for UltraLevel 6 to operate
properly, one of the arrows on the
label MUST be pointing
up.
If the arrow is pointing
down
the LED will not go on and the
tone will not sound.
OPERATING

Level (Horizontal Position)
Place UltraLevel 6 in the level
position with the arrow pointing
up. When the unit is level, the LED
will be
on and the tone will be
heard. On either side of level, the
LED and tone will not be heard.

Plumb (Vertical Position)
Place UltraLevel 6 in the plumb
position with the arrow on the label
pointing
up. When the unit is
plumb, the LED will come
on and
the tone will be heard. On either
side of plumb, the LED will go
off
and the tone will not be heard.

AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF
If the UltraLevel 6 is left on
but unused for approximately
4 minutes, an internal timer will
automatically shut off the unit to
conserve the battery. To further
increase battery life, be sure to
turn unit off when not in use.

BATTERY TEST
If the batteries are low, then
when UltraLevel 6 is at level or
plumb, instead of a steady light or
tone, the light will blink and the
tone will beep rapidly, although
the level will still be accurate. At
this point, the batteries should
be replaced with three LR44 or
equivalent alkaline button cells.

UltraLevel 6
®
uses a one-LED display and an audio tone to indicate level
or plumb. The UltraLevel 6 internal sensor automatically discriminates
between level and plumb, with an accuracy to ±
1
/
6
degree.
ULTRALEVEL 6
®
By following the procedure below,
you can accomplish extremely
high accuracy leveling with the
UltraLevel 6.
• Attach the UltraLevel 6 to a
long, straight object. The
straighter the object, the greater
the accuracy. Now you have an
“expanded” level.
• Keeping one end (the fixed
end) of your expanded level
from moving up and down,
lower the other end (the free
end) below the fixed end.
Now, slowly raise the free end
until the LED and tone
indications just begin. Mark
the position of the free end
at this point.
• Continue moving the free end
of your expanded level up
until the LED and tone both
go off. Now mark the position
of the free end at this point.
Note: For 2 ft.-long (610 mm)
object, the two marks will be
about
1
/
16
in. (1.6 mm) apart.
• Finally, move the free end of
your expanded level to a point
one-half way between the two
marks. It will now be leveled
to the maximum accuracy
attainable with UltraLevel 6.
• The same procedure can be
used in the plumb mode.

LIMITED 1 YEAR WARRANTY
Zircon Corporation, (“Zircon”) warrants this product to be free from defects
in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.Any
in-warranty defective product returned to Zircon*, freight prepaid with proof
of purchase date and $5.00 to cover postage and handling, will be repaired
or replaced at Zircon’s option.
THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE ELECTRONIC CIRCUITRY AND ORIGINAL
CASE OF THE PRODUCT AND SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDES DAMAGE CAUSED BY
ABUSE, UNREASONABLE USE OR NEGLECT. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF
ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND NO OTHER
REPRESENTATIONS OR CLAIMS OF ANY NATURE SHALL BIND OR OBLIGATE
ZIRCON.ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES APPLICABLE TO THIS PRODUCT ARE
LIMITED TO THE ONE YEAR PERIOD FOLLOWING ITS PURCHASE. IN NO
EVENT WILL ZIRCON BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR
