WPA – WiFi Protected Access is an improved encryption standard with a higher
level of security than WEP. It bridges the gap between WEP and 802.11i
(WPA2) networks. WPA uses TKIP.
WPA2 – The latest implementation of WPA providing stronger data protection
and network access control. There are two versions of WPA2 – Personal and
Enterprise. WPA2 Personal protects network access by using a setup password.
WPA2 Enterprise verifies network users through a server. A feature of WPA2 is
that it uses the AES algorithm.
