CAUTION: The PRM and ZWT are not waterp roof or explosion-proof and
cannot be sterilized. Do not use them in the presenc e of ammabl e gas
mixtures including anesthetics, oxy
gen, or nitrous oxide.
PRM Storage
1. If using a pa tient data disk, remove the disk from the disk drive, and store
thediskinasafeplace. Youareresponsibleforthesecurityofthisdisk
and the associated patient data.
2. Exit the c urrent software application.
3. Press the On/Off button to turn off the power.
NOTE: Before unplugging the power co
rd to move the PRM, always e xit the
software application and press the On/Off button to turn off the PRM.
4. Unplug the power cord from the w all

5. Unplug al l equipment cables from the back and side panels of the PRM.
6. Lower the screen until the front latch locks in place.
NOTE: The PRM is not intended to be st
ored in an upright position (resting
on rear panel w ith handle on top).
NOTE: See each accessory’s product
literature for transport and storage
conditions. Ensure each accessory is maintained within the appropriate limits.

Maintenance Ch eck
Prior t o each use, you should perform a visual inspection an d verify the
following:
Mechanical and functional integrity of the PRM, ZWT, cables, and
accessories.
Legibility and adherence of the PRM and ZWT labels.
Startup screen appears a few seco
nds after you turn on the PRM. (The
normal power-up process veri es that the PRM has passed its internal
checks and is ready for use.)
The PRM and ZW T contain no user-accessibl e components and must be
returned for replacement of any internal components.
Safety Measurements
National regulations may requ
ire that the user, manufacturer, or manufacturer
representative periodicall y perform and doc ument safety tests of the device. If
such testing is required in your country, follo w the testing interval and extent of
testing as regulated in your c
ountry. If you do not know the national regulations
in your country, please contact your local Boston Scientic representative.
If IEC/EN 62353 is a required
standard i n your country, but no specictesting
or interval is specied, it is recommended th at you perform these safety tests
using the direct method as specied in IEC/EN 62353 at an interval of every 24
months. Refer to the Speci
cations table ("Specications" on page 40).
