Reference [Other Functions]
This section explains various other functions of the MRS-8.
Playing several projects
continuously
(sequence play)
The MRS-8 lets you line up the master tracks from
multiple projects saved on the SD card and play them
continuously in a specified order (sequence play). This is
handy to record several projects on an external recorder,
or to play the accompaniment to multiple songs during a
live performance.
To use sequence play, you create a playlist which
specifies the order of projects. Up to 10 different playlists
can be created per SD card. Up to 99 projects can be
specified per playlist.
Register projects in a playlist as follows.

Verify that the V-take you want to play is
selected for each project’s master track.
NOTE
Projects in which an unrecorded V-take is selected for the
master track cannot be registered in a playlist.

From the main screen, press the [SYSTEM
UTILITY] key in the display section.
The display changes as follows.

Press the [ENTER] key.
The project menu for various project related functions
appears.

Use the cursor left/right keys to bring up
the indication “PROJECT SEQ PLAY” on the
display, and press the [ENTER] key.
The display changes as follows.
The display shows the screen for selecting a playlist. The
second line of the display shows the number of the
selected playlist and the number of projects registered in
that playlist. If an empty playlist has been selected, the
display shows “EMPTY”.

Turn the dial to select the playlist for which
to register projects, and press the [EDIT]
key.
The display changes as follows.
This screen lets you register projects in the playlist. The
bottom right of the display shows the playback number
which indicates the sequential position of the current
project.
The “END OF LIST” indication denotes the end of the
playlist. When the playlist is empty, the indication “END
OF LIST” appears at the beginning of the list.

Turn the dial to select the project to register
at the beginning of the playlist.
The project is registered in the first position of the
playlist. The “END OF LIST” indication moves to the
next playback number.
