INSTALLATION GB Positioning Place the refrigerator away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain recommended ventilation see Fig. 1. CHANGING THE OPENING DIRECTION OF DOORS AND PANELLING If you wish to change the opening side of the doors proceed as follows: Remove the handles of the doors, if they are side fixing by screws. Take off the plinth pressed on to. Remove the inferior hing taking care for the downer door not to fall off and not to lose the plastic spacer. Using a 10mm spanner, unscrew the hinge pin and reassemble it on the opposite side. Lift the downer door off the central hing.
REGULATION AND CONTROL GB Temperature regulation: «A» Allows temperature according to room temperature and usage. Lowest setting, minimum cold: Pos. 1 Highest setting, maximum cold: Pos. 6 Off: Pos. 0 Interior light: «H» Lightens when opening the door of the refrigerator compartment and shuts off when closing the door. It also shuts off when the temperature regulator is in position 0. When changing the light bulb, first extract the screw «Y» and thenremove the protective cover «X».
HOW TO USE YOUR REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER Freezer Compartment: GB Useful Hints: This freezer, marked , is suitable for freezing food and permits long term storage of frozen food. The appliance must be connected for at least 3 hours before introducing food. Do not introduce any new food during a freezing period. Whenever the thickness of ice reaches 5 mm. the frost should be removed. Hereto proceed as follows: Remove all food staff and place it in the coolest possible place.
MAINTENANCE OF YOUR REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER Defrosting of the refrigerator Frost is automatically eliminated in the refrigerator. Clean regularly the water drain opening «G», with its accessory. Cleaning Do not use alcohol or any cleaning product containing alcohol because it can damage the cabinet. Use lukewarm water and neutral soap or bicarbonate of soda for cleaning the interior and the exterior of the appliance. Never use detergents nor abrasive powders.
SOMETHING NOT WORKING GB Some functioning problems may be due to causes which can easily be solved before calling the Network Service. Follow theses instructions: PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION A) LAMP AND INDICATORS 1. The red light does not come off (if available). Freezer is not properly closed. Freezer door has benn open for too long. The «Temperature Regulator of the Freezer» has been recently moved to a colder position. Food has been put into the freezer.
SOMETHING NOT WORKING PROBLEM 4. The motor does not stop running. CAUSE «Temperature Regulator» in inadequate position. Door not properly closed. Door opened frequently. Food has been put in recently in large quantity. «Temperature Regulator of Freezer» in position «6». GB SOLUTION Change position to less cold. Close the door correctly. Avoid frequent opening. Wait for the appliance to come back to normal. This is normal. C) WATER/ICE 1. Makes too much ice.
NORMAL NOISES WHEN FUNCTIONING 1. Temperature Regulator May cause cracking sounds when the system connects or disconnects. 2. Refrigerating system The gas used for cooling may produce a burbling sound while running through the piping. 3. Compressor May cause zumbing noises and/or slight bumping. 4. Insulation The material used has a tendency to increase noises, but it does insulate perfectly and is of low energy consumption.
