Share Your Mobile Data Connection as a
Wi-Fi Hotspot
To share your phone’s data connection with other devices, turn
your phone into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
NOTES:
• This feature requires a data connection on a mobile network
and may result in data charges.
• You cannot use the phone’s Wi-Fi capability to access the
Internet when the portable Wi-Fi hotspot feature is enabled.
You remain connected to the Internet through your mobile
data network.
1. Touch the Home key > > Settings > Wi-Fi hotspot.
2. Slide the Wi-Fi hotspot switch to the On position.
After a moment, the phone starts broadcasting its Wi-Fi
network name (SSID).
3. On another device, locate your phone via Wi-Fi and connect
with it to start using the phone’s mobile data.
Or, if the device supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup, touch the
WPS icon on the device, and then touch WPS on the Wi-Fi
hotspot screen on your phone.
NOTE:
To stop sharing your data connection, slide the Wi-Fi hotspot
switch to the Off position.
