Exciting New Features Fingerprint Identification With the fingerprint sensor on the back of your phone, you can register up to 5 fingerprints and use them to unlock the phone or open a bound app when the screen is off or locked. You can also use swipe functions. Camera Features Macro camera: Shoot close-ups of the subjects, such as flowers, insects, and small items. AI scene recognition: AI scene recognition can automatically adjust the color and lighting settings to match the scene or subject.
Nearby Share You can use Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to share files with other devices near your phone. You can share things like photos, videos, documents, and links.

Knowing the Keys Key Function Power key Volume key Press or hold either end of the key to turn the volume up or down. Press and hold to power off or restart. Press to turn off or on the screen display. NOTE: You can use virtual keys or gestures to navigate your phone. See Setting the Navigation Style. Setting Up Your Phone The nano-SIM card can be installed or removed while the phone is turned on.
1. Insert the tip of the tray eject tool into the hole on the card tray. CAUTION: Never replace the included tray eject tool with sharp objects. Ensure that the tray eject tool is perpendicular to the hole. Otherwise, the phone may be damaged.
2. Pull out the card tray. You can place a nano-SIM card on the right card slot, and place a nano-SIM card or a microSDXC card (optional) on the left card slot, as shown. Carefully slide the tray back into place. NOTE: If two nano-SIM cards are installed, both cards can connect to the 4G, 3G, or 2G network, and either card can be used for mobile data. Charging the Phone Your phone’s battery should have enough power for the phone to turn on, find a signal, and make a few calls.
WARNING! Use only ZTE-approved chargers and USB cables. The use of unapproved accessories could damage your phone or cause the battery to explode. WARNING! Do not remove the back cover. The battery is not removable. Removal may cause fire or explosion. 1. Connect the adapter to the charging jack. Ensure that the adapter is inserted in the correct direction. 2. Connect the charger to a standard AC power outlet.
appear on the status bar. 3. Disconnect the charger when the battery is fully charged. NOTE: If the battery is extremely low, you may be unable to power on the phone even when it is being charged. In this case, try again after charging the phone for at least 20 minutes. Contact the customer service if you still cannot power on the phone after prolonged charging. Powering On/Off Press and hold the Power key to turn on your phone.
Locking/Unlocking the Screen and Keys Your phone allows you to quickly lock the screen and keys (put the phone to sleep mode) when not in use and to turn the screen back on and unlock it when you need it. To lock the screen and keys: To quickly turn the screen off and lock the keys, press the Power key. NOTE: To save battery power, the phone automatically turns off the screen after some time of inactivity. You will still be able to receive messages and calls while the phone screen is off.
Protecting Your Phone With Screen Locks), you’ll need to use your fingerprint, draw the pattern, or enter the PIN/password to unlock your screen. Getting to Know the Home Screen The home screen is the starting point for your phone’s applications, functions, and menus. You can customize your home screen by adding shortcuts and folders. Extended Home Screen Panels Your home screen is extendable, providing more space for shortcuts and folders.
Personalizing Setting the Navigation Style You can set the navigation style as virtual navigation or gesture navigation. Use Virtual Navigation To enable virtual navigation: 1. Open Settings and touch Features > System navigation. 2. Select Virtual navigation. NOTE: Touch beside Virtual navigation to change the navigation key layout, or turn on or off the concealable navigation bar. To hide the navigation bar, switch off Always show navigation bar and touch on the navigation bar.
Touch twice to switch to the most recent application. Use Gesture Navigation To enable gesture navigation: 1. Open Settings and touch Features > System navigation. 2. Select Gestures. NOTE: Touch beside Gestures to adjust the back sensitivity of screen edges for gesture navigation. To use gesture navigation: Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to return to the home screen from any application or screen. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to the middle and hold to see recently used apps.

Touch and hold a language and move it to the top to switch to that language. NOTE: To remove languages from the list, touch the languages you want to delete. > Remove and select Switching to Vibration or Silent Mode You can set the phone to vibration or silent mode by using one of the following methods.
Open Settings and touch Sound > Advanced > Notification mode, and then select Vibrate or Mute to switch to vibration or silent mode. Using Do Not Disturb Mode You can limit interruptions with Do Not Disturb mode. This mode can mute sound, stop vibration, and block visual disturbances. You can pick what to block and what to allow. Turn On or Off Do Not Disturb Mode 1. 2. Open Settings and touch Sound > Do Not Disturb. Touch TURN ON NOW or TURN OFF NOW. Set the Exceptions for Do Not Disturb Mode 1. 2.
2. Touch an existing schedule to turn it on or off, or touch next to the schedule to customize it. - or Touch Add more to create your own schedules. Set How Long Do Not Disturb Mode Lasts 1. 2. Open Settings and touch Sound > Do Not Disturb > Advanced > Duration for Quick Settings. Set how long Do Not Disturb mode will stay on when you turn it on. Choose Settings for Hidden Notifications 1. 2. Open Settings and touch Sound > Do Not Disturb > Advanced > Display options for hidden notifications.

Using Dark Theme When Dark theme is enabled, your phone will turn the screen to dark with white text on a black background, relieving eye irritation caused by screen glare at night. 1. Open Settings and touch Display > Dark theme. 2. Touch TURN ON NOW to enable Dark theme. - or If you want to set a schedule when Dark theme will be turned on automatically, touch Schedule and set the start and end time.
- or If you want to set a schedule when Night Light will be turned on automatically, touch Schedule and set the start and end time. 3. Drag the slider below Intensity to adjust the eye protection effect when Night Light is on.
Knowing the Basics Phone Status Icons The status bar at the top of the home screen provides phone and service status icons on the right side. Below are some of the icons you may see.
Notification Icons The status bar at the top of the home screen provides notification icons on the left. Below are some of the icons you may see. New message(s) from the Messages app New Wi-Fi network detected Missed call microSDXC card mounted Call in progress Call on hold Using Quick Settings The Quick Settings make it convenient to view or change the most common settings for your phone. Swipe down from the status bar and drag the notification panel downwards to open the Quick Settings panel.
1. Open the Quick Settings panel. 2. Touch at the bottom and do one of the following. Touch and hold a tile and drag it to the position you want. Touch and hold a tile and drag it to the section below to hide it. In the HOLD AND DRAG TO ADD TILES section, drag a tile up to show it in the Quick Settings panel. Opening and Switching Apps Open an App 1. 2. Swipe up on the home screen to view apps. Slide up or down on the screen and touch an app to open it.
2. Touch a card to open that app. NOTE: You can swipe a card up to remove it from the screen, which will free up running memory on the phone.
Security Protecting Your Phone With Screen Locks You can protect your phone by creating a screen lock. When it is enabled, you need to swipe up on the screen, draw a pattern or enter a numeric PIN or password to unlock the phone’s screen and keys. 1. Open Settings and touch Security > Screen lock. 2. Touch None, Swipe, Pattern, PIN or Password. Touch None to disable the screen lock. Touch Swipe to enable screen lock and allow unlocking with a “swipe” gesture.

Using Your Fingerprint With the fingerprint sensor on the back of your phone, you can register up to 5 fingerprints and use them to unlock the phone, or open a bound app when the screen is off or locked. You can also use swipe functions. NOTES: The fingerprint feature is usable only when a screen lock (Pattern, PIN, or Password) is enabled. When the screen lock is reset to None or Swipe, all registered fingerprints are erased.
NOTE: Touch an existing fingerprint record to rename or delete it. Set Fingerprint Functions 1. Open Settings and touch Security > Fingerprint > Fingerprint management. 2. Enter the screen lock pattern, PIN or password you set. 3. You can set the following options. Wake up and unlock your phone: Unlock the phone with a registered fingerprint when the screen is off or locked. Simple touch: When the screen is off or locked, you can quickly open a selected app with a registered fingerprint.
Protecting Your Phone With App Pinning You can pin an app's screen to keep it in view until you unpin it. This feature can be used, for example, to let a trusted friend play a specific game. NOTE: When an app is pinned, the pinned app may open other apps and your personal data may be accessible. Turn On App Pinning 1. Open Settings and touch Security > Advanced > App pinning. 2. Touch the On/Off switch. 3. Read the on-screen prompts and touch OK. 4.
3. Swipe left and right to find the app card. Then touch top of the card and select Pin. at the Unpin the Screen 1. To unpin the screen and return to normal use, touch and hold both and for virtual navigation; swipe up from the bottom of the screen and hold for a while for gesture navigation. 2. If screen lock is enabled for app pinning, swipe up on the lock screen and draw the pattern or enter the PIN/password. You can also unlock the screen with your fingerprint if you have registered it on the phone.
Connecting to Networks Connecting to Mobile Networks Control Mobile Data Use 1. Open Settings and touch Network & internet > Mobile network. 2. Touch the Mobile data switch to enable or disable mobile data use. Select Preferred Network Type 1. Open Settings and touch Network & internet > Mobile network. 2. Touch Preferred network type and select the type of network you prefer the phone to connect to. Set Access Point Names To connect to the Internet, you can use the default Access Point Names (APN).
4. Touch > Save to complete. NOTE: To set the APN to default settings, touch > Reset to default. Connecting to Wi-Fi Wi-Fi is a wireless networking technology that can provide Internet access at distances of up to 100 meters, depending on the Wi-Fi router and your surroundings. To turn Wi-Fi on and connect to a Wi-Fi network: 1. Open Settings and touch Network & internet > Wi-Fi. 2. Slide the switch to the on position to turn on Wi-Fi. 3. Touch a Wi-Fi network name to connect to it. 4.
Connecting to Devices Connecting to Bluetooth Devices Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology. Phones or other devices with Bluetooth capabilities can exchange information wirelessly within a distance of a few meters. The Bluetooth devices must be paired before the communication is performed. 1. Open Settings and touch Connected devices. 2. Touch Pair new device. Your phone automatically scans for and displays the IDs of all available Bluetooth devices in range. 3.
Connecting to Your Computer via USB You can connect your phone to a computer with a USB cable and transfer music, pictures, and other files in both directions. Your phone stores these files in the phone storage or on a removable microSDXC card. If you are using USB tethering, you must turn that off before you can use USB to transfer files between your phone and computer. Connect Your Phone to a Computer via USB 1. Connect your phone to the computer with a USB cable. 2.
USB cable when you’re finished. Sharing Files With Nearby Devices With Nearby Share, you can share photos, videos, and documents with nearby devices via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Turn Sharing On or Off 1. On your phone, make sure Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Location are turned on. See Connecting to Bluetooth Devices, Connecting to Wi-Fi and Location. 2. Open Settings and touch Connected devices > Connection preferences > Nearby Share. 3. Touch the switch at the top to turn Nearby Share on or off.
6. On your phone, your friend’s device name will appear and touch the device name to send the content. 7. Accept the sharing on your friend’s device. Get Content From Someone 1. Ask your friend to follow the “Share Content With Someone” steps above. 2. Open Settings and touch Connected devices > Connection preferences > Nearby Share and switch on Show notification if it is turned off on your phone. 3. You’ll get a notification that someone is sharing content with you.
while your phone screen is on and unlocked. Hidden: Your phone is only visible while Nearby Share is turned on and you need to make your phone visible manually. Set Data Usage for Sharing 1. Open Settings and touch Connected devices > Connection preferences > Nearby Share. 2. Touch Data and choose one of the following options. Data: Mobile data may be used for small files. Charges may apply. Wi-Fi only: Never use mobile data to share. Without internet: Files will always be shared offline.
Sharing Your Mobile Data Connection Through Tethering You can use tethering to share your phone’s Internet connection with a computer that connects to your phone via USB cable or by Bluetooth. NOTE: You cannot transfer files between your phone and the computer when the phone is USB tethered. 1. Open Settings and touch Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering. 2. Switch on USB tethering or Bluetooth tethering.
Phone Calls Placing Calls Place a Call by Dialing 1. From the home screen, touch . 2. Touch to open the dialer and enter the phone number or the contact name with the dialpad. Touch to delete incorrect digits. NOTE: As you enter the phone number or the contact name, your phone searches for matching information in your contacts. If you see the number and contact you want to call, touch it to place the call immediately. 3.
Place a Call From the Call History The call history is a list of all the calls you've placed, received, or missed. It provides a convenient way to redial a number, return a call, or add a number to your contacts. 1. From the home screen, touch field) > Call history. > (in the top search NOTE: Touch Missed to find all missed calls. 2. Touch beside a listing to call back.
Answering or Rejecting Calls Answer a Call When you receive a phone call, slide up to answer the call. - or If the screen is unlocked, touch ANSWER. NOTE: To silence the ringer before answering the call, press either end of the Volume key. Reject a Call When you receive a phone call, slide down to reject the call. You can also touch Reply to reject the call and select a preset text message or edit one to send to the caller. - or If the screen is unlocked, touch DECLINE to reject the call.
Touch to turn on or off the speaker. Touch to mute or unmute your microphone. Touch to switch to the keypad when you need to enter a code (for example, the PIN for your voicemail or bank account) during the call. Touch Touch to make another call separately from the first call, which is put on hold. Touch to merge the separate calls into a single conference call. Touch to put the caller you are speaking to on hold, and switch to the other call that has been put on hold.
Managing Multi-party Calls When the call waiting and conference call features are available, you can switch between two calls or set up a conference call. NOTE: The call waiting and conference call features need network support and may result in additional charges. Please contact your service provider for more information. Switch Between Current Calls When you’re on a call and another call comes in, your phone screen informs you and displays the caller ID.
Set Up a Conference Call With this feature, you can talk to multiple people at the same time. 1. Place the first call. 2. Once you have established the connection, answer an incoming call or touch and dial the second number. This puts the first caller on hold. 3. When you’re connected to the second party, touch . 4. If you need to add more parties, have them call you or touch to dial the number, and touch by one. to merge the calls one NOTE: The number of calls you can merge depends on your network.
Contacts You can add contacts on your phone and synchronize them with the contacts in your Google account. To see your contacts, touch Google (folder) > Contacts from the home screen. Adding a New Contact 1. Open Contacts. 2. Touch to add a new contact. 3. Enter the contact name, phone numbers, email addresses, and other information. Touch More fields if necessary. 4. Touch Save.
4. Check the contacts you need and then touch Import. Import Contacts From the Phone Storage or the microSDXC Card 1. Open Contacts. 2. Touch > Settings > Import. 3. Select .vcf file and touch OK. 4. Touch and find the vCard file(s) on the phone storage or microSDXC card and touch one to import contacts. Export Contacts to the Phone Storage or the microSDXC Card 1. Open Contacts. 2. Touch > Settings > Export. 3. Touch and select the directory in which the vCard file will be saved. 4.
3. Select a ringtone you like and touch OK or touch Add ringtone at the bottom to choose an audio file and set it as the ringtone. Setting Call Blocking The call blocking feature allows you to block calls and messages from certain numbers. 1. Open Contacts. 2. Touch > Settings > Blocked numbers. 3. Touch Add a number. 4. Enter a phone number or touch the contact list. to select a number from 5. Touch Block.
Messages You can use Messages to exchange text messages (SMS), multimedia messages (MMS), and chat messages. Sending a Message 1. From the home screen, touch . 2. Touch Start chat. 3. Add recipients by one of the following ways. Manually enter the recipient’s number or contact name. (You can touch to enter numbers with a dialpad.) If the phone presents a few suggestions, touch the one you want to add. Select a recipient from your contact list.
NOTES: If you add two or more recipients, the message may be sent as a group MMS where everyone can reply and see each other’s messages. For group message setting, touch > Settings > Advanced > Group messaging from the Messages screen. You can also include email addresses as recipients for a multimedia message. Do not add any attachment if you want to send a text message. Otherwise you may be charged for a multimedia message.
NOTE: You can touch and hold a thread and touch more to select them, and then choose to archive or delete them.
Camera Capturing a Photo 1. Open the Camera app. 2. Aim the camera at the subject and make any necessary adjustments. Capture (auto camera) mode is used by default.
Number Function 1 Change the HDR setting. 2 Change the flash setting. 3 View pictures and videos you have taken. 4 Capture a picture. 5 Switch between the front and back cameras. 6 Swipe left or right to switch among the default Capture (auto camera) mode, Panorama mode, Refocus mode, Portrait mode, Video mode, and Pro mode. Touch More to use other special camera modes: Burst, Interval, Time lapse, Filter, QR code, Night, Macro, and DV Macro. 7 Change the camera settings.
3. Touch the area where you want the camera to focus, or leave the camera to autofocus on the centre of the image. NOTE: In auto camera mode, you can touch and hold on the viewfinder screen to lock the focus and exposure, and then drag up or down to adjust the exposure. 4. Lightly touch . NOTE: You can quickly capture a picture by pressing the Volume down key twice quickly when the screen is off. The phone will vibrate when the picture is taken.
5. Touch to stop recording. NOTES: You can spread or pinch on the screen to zoom in or out before and during recording. You can record a silent video by turning off the phone microphone. Just touch at the top and switch off Microphone switch before recording. Using AI Scene Recognition AI scene recognition can automatically adjust the color and lighting settings to match the scene or subject.
Using Pro Mode You can use Pro mode to adjust more camera options for your photo such as ISO, white balance, exposure, etc. 1. Open the Camera app. 2. Touch Pro. 3. Aim the camera at the subject and you can make the following adjustments. Touch the camera options at the bottom to adjust overall exposure, shutter speed, focus, ISO, white balance, contrast and saturation. Touch 4. Touch at the top to adjust the metering setting. to take the photo.

Portrait: Take a picture with the faces in the viewfinder screen in focus and the background blurred. You can also take selfies with a depth effect when using the front camera. Burst: Touch and hold quickly. Interval: Take several pictures with the front camera automatically and save the selfie(s) you like.

Gallery Opening Gallery From the home screen, touch Gallery (Gallery Go). Gallery Go is a photo gallery, which you can use to edit, find, and manage photos. You can touch Photos to view all your photos and videos, or touch Folders to find photos and videos organized by folders. Sharing Your Photos or Videos 1. Open Gallery. 2. Touch and hold a photo or video to select it. 3. Touch more items that you want to share. 4. Touch and select how you want to share the items. Deleting Unwanted Photos or Videos 1.
Restoring a Photo or Video 1. Open Photos. 2. Touch > Trash. 3. Touch and hold the photo or video you want to restore and touch Restore.
FM Radio Scanning for Channels 1. Plug in a wired headset and open the FM Radio app. 2. Touch > Scan > OK. Your phone scans for all available channels and saves them to the channel list. NOTE: When you open the FM Radio app for the first time, it will automatically scan for channels and show the channel list. You can also touch > All channels to view the list. Listening to FM Radio 1. Open FM Radio while the headset is connected. 2. Touch > All channels and select a channel.
Voice Recorder Voice Recorder enables you to record and listen to voice memos. Recording a Voice Memo 1. Open Voice Recorder. 2. Touch to select the audio format of the recording. 3. Touch to start recording. During recording, you can do the following: Touch or to pause or continue the recording. Touch or to add a time tag or photo tag to the recording. Touch an added time tag to attach a picture or add text. 4. Touch DONE to stop recording. 5.
2. Touch the title of a memo to play it. During the playing, you can touch to change the playback speed, touch View tag to view all tags, touch or to add a time tag or photo tag, or touch and hold a tag to delete it. Trimming a Voice Memo 1. While playing a recording, touch screen. to open the editing 2. Drag or to trim the recording. You can touch preview the trimmed recording. 3. Touch TRIM. 4. Edit the new file name and touch SAVE.
Settings The Settings app contains most of the tools for customizing and configuring your phone. Network & Internet Wi-Fi Open Settings and touch Network & internet > Wi-Fi. You can turn Wi-Fi on or off and configure your Wi-Fi connections. See Connecting to Wi-Fi. Mobile Network Open Settings and touch Network & internet > Mobile network to control mobile data and data roaming, check and manage mobile data use, set network type, and set access point names and other network options.
Hotspot & Tethering Open Settings and touch Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering to share your phone’s mobile data connection with PCs or other devices via USB cable or Bluetooth. See Sharing Your Mobile Data Connection Through Tethering. Data Saver Open Settings and touch Network & internet > Data Saver to enable or disable Data Saver, which prevents apps from using data connection in the background. Apps you’re currently using can access data, but may do so less frequently when Data Saver is enabled.
Connected Devices Open Settings and touch Connected devices > Connection preferences to use the following features. Bluetooth: Turn Bluetooth on or off and configure your Bluetooth connections. See Connecting to Bluetooth Devices. Printing: Use the default printing service or other printer plug-ins installed from the Google Play Store or your printer manufacturer for wireless printing. Files received via Bluetooth: Check the files received via Bluetooth on your phone.
Conversations Open Settings and touch Apps & notifications > Conversations to check your priority and modified conversations in the Messages app and change conversation settings. Once you mark a conversation as priority by touching and holding it on the notification panel, or make any other changes to a conversation, it will appear in this menu. Notifications Open Settings and touch Apps & notifications > Notifications to manage app notifications.
Permission Manager Open Settings and touch Apps & notifications > Advanced > Permission manager to check what apps have been allowed to access certain permissions. You can also change the app permissions. WARNING! Changing the app permissions may result in the app not working correctly or as originally intended. Wireless Emergency Alerts Open Settings and touch Apps & notifications > Advanced > Wireless emergency alerts to configure the emergency broadcast notifications.
Features Open Settings and touch Features. The following features are available. System navigation: Set the navigation style as virtual navigation or gesture navigation. See Setting the Navigation Style. Gesture & motion: You can control the phone with special finger gestures or by moving the phone in different ways. Touch the switches to enable each function; touch each function to view how to use it or try it out. NOTE: The use of phone cover/case may stop certain functions from working.
Sound Open Settings and touch Sound. Adjust different types of volume, toggle sound mode (see Switching to Vibration or Silent Mode), set Do Not Disturb options (see Using Do Not Disturb Mode), set up ringtone and notification sound, and set other sounds and vibrations.
