Projection Lens Project the display on a surface. WARNING! Do not look directly into the projection lens or point the lens toward people or animals’ eyes when the projector is on as this may cause injury to the eyes. Focus Sensor Analyze the clarity of the projected image in order for the projector to adjust its focus automatically. Back Key Touch to go to the previous screen. Home Key • • Touch to return to the HOME tab of the home screen. Touch and hold to open the Google app or the web browser.
Power Key • Press and hold to enable or disable airplane mode, power on/off or restart your Spro2. • • Press to turn off or on the screen display. Press twice quickly when the projector is turned on to adjust its focus automatically. Main Microphone / Auxiliary Microphone Transmit your voice. The auxiliary microphone is useful for canceling ambient noise. Ventilation Port Exhaust hot air when the projector is on.
WARNING! To avoid damage to Spro2, do not use any other kind of SIM card, or any non-standard micro-SIM card cut from a SIM card. You can get a standard micro-SIM card from your mobile service provider. 1. Turn your Spro2 upside down. Insert the tip of the tray eject tool into the hole on the micro-SIM card tray and take the tray out of the slot. 2. Remove the micro-SIM card on the tray and replace a new one.
3. Carefully install the tray back.
Installing the microSDHC™ Card (Not Included) A microSDHC card can be installed or removed while Spro2 is turned on. You need to unmount the microSDHC card before removing it. See Remove the microSDHC Card From Your Spro2. 1. Turn your Spro2 upside down. Insert the tip of the tray eject tool into the hole on the microSDHC card tray and take the tray out of the slot. 2. Place the microSDHC card on the tray as shown and carefully install the tray back.
NOTE: Some applications may require a microSDHC card to work properly if it stores certain data on it. Therefore, it is recommended that you keep a microSDHC card installed and not remove or replace it unnecessarily. Charging the Battery You should fully charge the battery before using Spro2. Out of the box the battery should have enough power for Spro2 to turn on. WARNING! Use only ZTE-approved chargers and cables. The use of unauthorized accessories may cause damage.
CAUTION: Do not try to remove or change the built-in rechargeable battery in your Spro2 by yourself. By doing so will violate the warranty policy from ZTE. Contact customer service for support. 1. Plug the AC adapter into the power socket on your Spro2 and then put the plug into an electrical outlet. 2. Disconnect the adapter when the battery is fully charged. NOTE: If the battery is extremely low, you may not be able to power on Spro2 even when it is charging. Allow Spro2 to charge longer and try again.
Powering On/Off Your Spro2 Ensure that the battery is charged. • • Press and hold the Power Key to turn on your Spro2. To power it off, press and hold the Power Key to open the options menu. Touch Power off and then touch OK. Restarting Your Spro2 If the screen freezes or takes too long to respond, try pressing and holding the Power Key for about 10 seconds to restart Spro2. Waking Up Your Spro2 Your Spro2 automatically goes into sleep mode when it is not in use for certain time.
Setting Up for the First Time When you first power on your Spro2 after you purchase it or reset it to factory settings (see Backup and Reset), you need to do some settings before using it. Flick the language field to select the language and touch . Then follow the prompts to set up Wi-Fi, Google account, Google location and other options. Turning On/Off the Projector You can use the projector embedded in your Spro2 to project the display onto large surfaces.
There are several ways that you can turn on or off the projector. • When your Spro2’s screen is turned on, swipe up or down using THREE fingers on the screen to turn on or off the projector. • Drag the status bar down from the top of the screen and touch Projector below Control Switch. • From the HOME tab of the home screen, touch the round button on the Projector widget.
NOTE: For best results, project onto a non-reflective white flat display surface at a 90° angle to Spro2’s touch screen. The projection distance of Spro2 is about 3 to 12 feet. Adjusting the Projection When the projector is on, you can adjust projection focus, keystone distortion, projection brightness and projection color. To adjust projection focus: 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > Projector > Image. 2. In the Focus section, turn on automatic focus or touch “+” and “-” to make manual adjustment.
To adjust projection brightness: 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > Projector > Image. 2. In the Brightness section, select the brightness level. To adjust projection color: 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > Projector > Image. 2. In the Color correction section, select a color effect you like. Using the Touch Screen Your Spro2’s touch screen enables you to control actions through a variety of touch gestures.
• Touch and Hold To open available options for an item (e.g. a link in a web page), simply touch and hold the item. • Swipe or Slide To swipe or slide means to quickly drag your finger vertically or horizontally across the screen. • Drag To drag, press and hold your finger with some pressure before you start to move your finger. While dragging, do not release your finger until you have reached the target position.
• Pinch In some apps (such as Maps, web browser, and Gallery), you can zoom in and out by placing two fingers on the screen at once and pinching them together (to zoom out) or spreading them apart (to zoom in). • Rotate the screen For some screens, you can automatically change the screen orientation from landscape to portrait by turning Spro2 sideways.
NOTE: The Auto-rotate screen check box needs to be selected for the screen orientation to automatically change. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device > Display > Auto-rotate screen. You can also access the screen rotation control by sliding down the status bar and touching Auto Rotate. Getting to Know the Home Screen The home screen is the starting point for your Spro2’s applications, functions, and menus.
Navigate the Home Screen Your home screen comes with a series of tabs. • • • Touch a tab to access the items in it. • With widgets, you can manage some important functions of your Spro2 right from the home screen. Touch the APPS tab to find all your applications. Touch other tabs to find application shortcuts, folders and widgets. Personalize the Home Screen To add a tab: Touch to add a new tab in the home screen.
3. Drag the item to an empty spot in the tab and release your finger. To remove an application shortcut: 1. Touch and hold an application icon in any tab other than the APPS tab. 2. Drag the icon to your finger. (Remove) at the bottom and release To organize shortcuts with folders: 1. Touch and hold an application icon in any tab other than the APPS tab. 2. Drag the icon to (Folder) at the bottom and release your finger. A new folder is created and the icon is moved into the folder. 3.
3. Enter a new name and touch Done or touch any area outside the folder to save the name. To uninstall an application: 1. Touch and hold an application icon in the APPS tab of the home screen. 2. Touch on the application you want to uninstall. 3. Touch OK. NOTE: Not all applications can be uninstalled.
Personalizing Changing the System Language 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Local > Language & input > Language. 2. Select the language you need. Setting the Date and Time 1. 2. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Local > Date & time. Set the date, time, time zone, and date/time format. f To adjust the date and time automatically, check Automatic date & time.
Changing Notification Sound You can customize the default notification sound. 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device > Sound. 2. Touch Default notification. 3. Select the sound you want to use and touch OK. Turning On/Off Other System Sounds 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device > Sound. 2. Check or uncheck Touch sounds, Screen lock sounds, or Vibrate on touch. Adjusting Volume 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device > Sound > Volumes. 2.
• Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device > Sound > Sound mode and select Mute. • Keep pressing the Volume Down Key when no media application is active. When the bar, Spro2 is in silent mode. icon appears on the status Applying New Wallpapers You can set the wallpaper for the lock screen. 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device > Display > Wallpaper. 2. Select a wallpaper source from Gallery or Wallpapers and choose the image you want to use as the wallpaper.
1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Local > Security > Screen lock. 2. Touch Long Press, Pattern, PIN or Password. X Touch Long Press to enable screen lock and allow unlock with a ‘touch and hold’ gesture. You can unlock the screen by touching and holding any blank area on the screen. X Touch Pattern to create a pattern you must draw to unlock the screen. X Touch PIN or Password to set a numeric PIN or a password that you must enter to unlock your screen.
Encryption provides additional protection in case your Spro2 is stolen, and may be required or recommended in some organizations. Consult your system administrator before turning it on. In many cases the PIN or password you set for encryption is controlled by the system administrator. Before turning on encryption, prepare as follows: ● Set a lock screen PIN or password. ● Charge the battery. ● Keep Spro2 connected to the charger.
The encryption process starts. Encryption can take an hour or more, during which time your Spro2 may restart several times. When encryption is completed, you're prompted to enter your PIN or password. Subsequently, you must enter your PIN or password each time you power on your Spro2 in order to decrypt it.
Knowing the Basics Monitoring the Device Status The status bar at the top of the home screen provides the status icons on the right side. Below are some of the icons you may see.
Managing Notifications Notification Icons The status bar at the top of the home screen provides notification icons on the left. Below are some of the icons you may see.
• To open the notification panel, swipe your finger down from the top of the screen. • To close the notification panel, swipe your finger up from the bottom of the screen or touch the Back Key. Respond to or Remove a Notification In the notification panel, you can respond to a notification or remove the notifications. The notification panel also supports expandable notifications that let you perform additional actions right from the notification itself. • To respond to a notification, just touch it.
Use Control Switches The Control Switches in the notification panel make it convenient to view or change the most common settings for your Spro2. Open the notification panel and you can find the following Control Switches on the top of the screen. Slide left or right to find all switches. • Projector: Touch to turn on or off the projector. • Projector Brightness: Touch to adjust projection brightness.
• Auto Rotate: Touch to turn on or off the auto-rotate screen feature. NOTE: Touch Edit beside Control Switch to select the switches you want to view in the notification panel. NOTE: In the notification panel, touch in the top right corner to access the full settings menu; touch to access the projector settings menu. Entering Text You can enter text using the onscreen keyboard. Some apps open it automatically. In others, you open it by touching where you want to type.
Android Keyboard The Android Keyboard provides a layout similar to a desktop computer keyboard. • Touch the alphabetic keys to enter letters. Touch and hold some specific keys to enter associated accented letters or numbers. For example, to enter è, touch and hold and the available accented letters and number 3 appear. Then slide to choose è. • Touch to use uppercase. Double-tap to lock uppercase.
Input Method Settings Choose the input method settings by touching the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Local > Language & input. In the KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS section, you can set the default input method and choose the settings for input methods. Editing Text • Move the insertion point: Touch where you want to type. The cursor blinks in the new position, and a tab appears below it. Drag the tab to move the cursor. • Select text: Touch and hold or double-tap within the text.
Opening and Switching Apps Open an App 1. 2. Touch the Home Key > APPS tab. Slide left or right on the screen and touch an app to open it. Switch Between Recently Opened Apps 1. Touch and hold the Menu Key. A list of the names and thumbnails of apps you’ve used recently opens. If you’ve been using more apps recently than can fit on the screen, you can slide the list left or right. 2. Touch a thumbnail to open that app.
Projection You can use the projector of your Spro2 to project the files in Spro2 or other devices connected to it. WARNING! Do not look directly into the projection lens or point the lens toward people or animals’ eyes when the projector is on as this may cause injury to the eyes. Projecting a File Saved in Your Spro2 You can project a file stored in your Spro2. 1. Open the file you want to project. For example, to open image files, touch the APPS tab on the home screen and touch Gallery.
Projecting an HDMI Source You can project contents via an HDMI cable when connecting your Spro2 to a laptop/PC or TV STB (Set Top Box). If you have an Apple device with the Lighting connector, you need to get a Lightning Digital AV Adapter (not included in the packaging). 1. Connect your Spro2 to the laptop/PC or TV STB via the supplied HDMI cable. (Laptop/PC or TV STB is not included in the packaging.
4. Operate your laptop/PC, TV STB, or Apple device to select the content you want to watch. NOTES: • • • If your laptop/PC has other kinds of output ports, such as VGA port, DVI port, DisplayPort and Mini DisplayPort, get a proper adapter to connect the laptop/PC with your Spro2. The maximum resolution of the HDMI source supported by Spro2 is 1080p (1920 × 1080 pixels). When projecting an HDMI source, the maximum resolution of the projection screen is 720p (1280 x 720 pixels).
Projecting a File Saved in Your USB Device You can project a file stored on the USB device such as a USB flash drive or a portable hard drive. 1. Slide the status bar down to open the notification panel and ensure that “Connect to USB stick” is highlighted. 2. Connect your USB device to Spro2 via the USB jack. 3. Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > File Manager. 4. Touch USB DEVICE to open the file you want to project. 5. Turn on the projector. See Turning On/Off the Projector.
indicates that the external USB device has been unmounted, you can remove the USB device. • The maximum capacity of the portable hard drive supported by Spro2 is 2 TB; the maximum capacity of the USB flash drive supported is 64 GB. • Press the Power Key twice quickly to adjust projection focus automatically. Projecting a Source on Your Phone via Miracast (Wi-Fi Display) You can display the content from compatible smart phone on your Spro2 with a Miracast (Wi-Fi Display) link. 1. Turn on the projector.
3. Open a Wi-Fi display application on the phone to scan for available devices within range. 4. When you see the name of your Spro2 (MF97V) displayed in the available devices section, touch the name. The phone then automatically tries to pair with your Spro2. 5. Touch Accept on your Spro2. After successful connection, the contents in the phone will be displayed on the projector. 6. On your phone, choose the content you want to display. NOTES: • To end the Miracast link, touch the Back Key of Spro2.
X X To use Internet connection shared by Spro2, search for hotspots and connect to the one with the name starting with “DIRECT-" using your device’s Wi-Fi feature. The password is the same as the one you set for Mobile Hotspot. To project content from your device via Miracast, connect to Spro2 using your device’s Wi-Fi Display or Cast Screen feature. NOTES: • If your device has been connected to the hotspot, it will be disconnected when you turn Miracast on.
Remote Control You can install the Spro2 remote control app on your Android phone and use your phone as a remote control. Downloading and Installing the Remote Control App 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab on Spro2. 2. Use your Android phone to scan the left Quick Response (QR) code on the screen and find the Spro2 remote control app in Google Play Store. 3. Download and install the remote control app on your phone.
3. Connect your Android phone to the Wi-Fi hotspot of Spro2. 4. Open the remote control app on your phone and then the app will start to connect to Spro2. 5. For the first time use or after you restart Spro2, touch OK on Spro2 to accept the connection. 6. When the connection completes, the content on Spro2’s screen will be displayed on your phone. You can then use your phone as the remote control. f Touch your phone’s screen to control Spro2.

Connecting to Networks and Devices Connecting to Mobile Networks Select Network Operator 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Mobile networks > Network operators. Your Spro2 automatically starts to search for all available networks. You can touch Search networks to search again. 2. Touch a network in the network list to register manually. You can also touch Choose automatically to select preferred network automatically. Control Mobile Data Use To enable or disable data access: 1.
CAUTION: When you enable this option, more data traffic will be generated for automatic updates of applications data and your Spro2 will consume more power. Connecting to Wi-Fi® Wi-Fi is a wireless networking technology that can provide Internet access at distances of up to 100 meters, depending on the Wi-Fi router and your surroundings. Turn Wi-Fi On and Connect to a Wi-Fi Network 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Wi-Fi. 2.
Get Notified of Open Networks 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Wi-Fi. 2. Slide the Wi-Fi switch to the ON position. 3. Touch the Menu Key > Advanced. 4. Check Network notification. When Wi-Fi is on, you receive notifications in the status bar when your Spro2 detects an open Wi-Fi network. Uncheck the option to turn off notifications.
Forget a Wi-Fi Network You can make your Spro2 forget about the details of a Wi-Fi network that you added - for example, if you don’t want your Spro2 to connect to it automatically or if it is a network that you no longer use. 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Wi-Fi. 2. Slide the Wi-Fi switch to the ON position. 3. Touch the Wi-Fi network name and then touch Forget.
Method two: PIN of Spro2 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Wi-Fi. 2. Slide the Wi-Fi switch to the ON position. 3. Touch the Menu Key > WPS Pin Entry. 4. The WPS PIN displays on the screen. Enter the PIN into the access point's setup page. After entering the PIN, your Spro2 automatically finds the access point and configures the connection. Method three: PIN of the access point 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Wi-Fi. 2.
Adjust Advanced Wi-Fi Settings 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Wi-Fi. 2. Touch the Menu Key > Advanced to adjust the following settings. f Network notification: Get notifications in the status bar when Wi-Fi is on and an open network is available. f Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep: Set whether to keep Wi-Fi on in sleep mode. f Scanning always available: Allow Google’s location service and other apps to scan for networks, even when Wi-Fi is turned off.
Using Wi-Fi Direct® Wi-Fi Direct allows Wi-Fi devices to connect to each other without the need for wireless access points (hotspots). NOTE: Wi-Fi Direct is not completely compatible among different device manufacturers. You may need to install third-party applications to share files between different devices from different manufacturers. Connect to Another Device via Wi-Fi Direct 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Wi-Fi. 2. If Wi-Fi is off, slide the Wi-Fi switch to the ON position.
Send Data via Wi-Fi Direct 1. Open the appropriate application and select the file or item you want to share. 2. Select the option for sharing via Wi-Fi Direct. The method may vary by application and data type. 3. Touch a device your Spro2 has connected with or wait for it to search for new devices and touch one of them. Receive Data via Wi-Fi Direct When an attempt to transfer data via Wi-Fi Direct is received, you can see a notification in the status bar.
Turn Bluetooth On/Off 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Bluetooth. 2. Slide the Bluetooth switch to the ON or OFF position. When Bluetooth is on, the icon will appear in the status bar. Make Your Spro2 Visible In order to work with other phones or devices that have Bluetooth, you need to make your Spro2 ‘visible’ to them. 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > 2. Slide the Bluetooth switch to the ON position if Bluetooth is off. 3.
3. Touch the Menu Key > Rename device. 4. Edit the name and touch Rename. Pair With Another Bluetooth Device 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Bluetooth. 2. Slide the Bluetooth switch to the ON position if Bluetooth is off. Your Spro2 automatically scans for and displays the IDs of all available Bluetooth devices in range. You could touch SEARCH FOR DEVICES on the top right of the screen if you want to scan again. 3. Touch the device you want to pair with. 4.
Unpair From a Bluetooth Device You can make your Spro2 forget its pairing connection with another Bluetooth device. To connect to the device again, you may need to enter or confirm a passkey again. 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Bluetooth and ensure that Bluetooth is turned on. 2. 3. In the list of paired devices, touch the icon Bluetooth device you want to unpair from. Touch Unpair. beside the Send Data via Bluetooth 1.
3. Touch Accept to start receiving the data. Depending on whether a microSDHC card is installed, received files are stored automatically in a dedicated folder (Bluetooth, for instance) in the internal storage or microSDHC card. You can access them with the File Manager app. Connecting to Your Computer via USB You can connect your Spro2 to a computer with a USB cable (not included) and transfer music, pictures, and other files in both directions.
2. Slide the status bar down to open the notification panel and touch "Connect to PC" to highlight it. Connected as … 3. Open the notification panel and touch or touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device > USB mode. 4. Choose one of the following options: f Install driver: Install the driver needed for some USB connection modes (such as MTP). You only need to install the driver on the same PC once.
1. Connect Spro2 with your computer via USB and choose Media device (MTP). 2. Open Windows Media Player and synchronize music, picture, and video files. Disconnect Your Spro2 From the Computer To disconnect Spro2 from the computer, simply unplug the USB cable when you’re finished. Remove the microSDHC Card From Your Spro2 If you need to remove the microSDHC card while Spro2 is on, you must unmount it first. 1. If Spro2 is connected to a computer, disconnect it. 2.
Erase the microSDHC Card 1. 2. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device > Storage. Scroll down and touch Erase external SD card > Erase SD card > Erase everything. CAUTION: The formatting procedure erases all data on the microSDHC card, after which the files CANNOT be retrieved.
NOTES: • Before connecting your Spro2 with a USB device, slide the status bar down to open the notification panel and ensure that "Connect to USB stick" is highlighted. • To disconnect a USB device from your Spro2, you should open the notification panel and touch . After Spro2 indicates that the external storage device has been unmounted, you can remove the USB device.
1. Slide the status bar down to open the notification panel and ensure that "Connect to USB stick" is highlighted. 2. Connect a webcam to Spro2 via the USB jack. 3. Open a video chat app to make a video call. NOTES: • You can download and install camera apps on Spro2 to get more functions, such as picture taking and video recording. • Not all webcams are supported by Spro2. Please refer to the webcam manual for detailed instructions.
Share Your Mobile Data Connection via USB You can access the Internet on your computer via the USB tethering feature of your Spro2. The feature needs data connection on a mobile network and may result in data charges. NOTE: You cannot transfer files between Spro2 and the computer when Spro2 is USB tethered. 1. Connect Spro2 to your computer with a USB cable. 2. Slide the status bar down to open the notification panel and ensure that "Connect to PC" is highlighted. 3.

Or, if the device supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup, touch the WPS icon on the device, and then touch on your Spro2. NOTE: To stop sharing your data connection, turn off Mobile Hotspot. Set Your Wi-Fi Hotspot You can change the name of your Spro2's mobile hotspot (SSID), secure it with a password, and set other options. 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Mobile Hotspot. 2. Touch CONFIGURE and set the following options as follows.
Broadcast network name (SSID): Check this option to broadcast your network SSID. If the broadcast is disabled, other users need to get your network name to find the mobile hotspot. 3. Touch Save to save your settings. f Connecting to Virtual Private Networks Virtual private networks (VPNs) allow you to connect to the resources inside a secured local network.
Connect to a VPN 1. 2. 3. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > More… > VPN. Touch the VPN that you want to connect to. When prompted, enter any requested credentials, and then touch Connect. Modify a VPN 1. 2. 3. 4. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > More… > VPN. Touch and hold the VPN that you want to modify. Touch Edit profile and edit the VPN settings you want. Touch Save.
Accounts Adding or Removing Accounts You can add multiple Google accounts. You may also add other kinds of accounts, depending on the apps installed on your Spro2. Add an Account 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device > Add account. 2. Touch the type of account you want to add. 3. Follow the onscreen steps to enter the information about the account. Most accounts require a username and password, but the details may vary.
2. Touch the account category in the ACCOUNTS section and then touch the account. 3. Touch the Menu Key > Remove account > Remove account. Configuring Account Sync Configure Auto Sync Setting 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > Data usage. 2. Touch and check or uncheck Auto-sync data. X When automatic sync is turned on, changes you make to information on your Spro2 or on the web are automatically synced with each other.
Change an Account’s Sync Settings 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Device. 2. In the ACCOUNTS section, touch the account category and then the account. The Sync screen appears, showing a list of information the account can sync. 3. Check or uncheck items as you need. Checked types of information on Spro2 and the web will be kept in auto-sync.
Gmail™ After you sign in to your Google account on Spro2, you can send and retrieve Gmail messages with the Gmail app. NOTE: This feature may not be available in certain regions or with certain service providers. Opening Your Gmail Inbox Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Gmail. The inbox screen appears. If you haven’t signed in, you will be prompted to do so or create a new account. Touch the Menu Key > Refresh to refresh your inbox and download new messages.
Writing and Sending a Message 1. Open your Gmail inbox and switch to the account you want to use for sending the message. 2. 3. . Touch Enter a contact name or email address in the ‘To’ field. Touch the space key before entering each additional recipient. 4. Enter the email subject and compose the email text. 5. To add an attachment, touch the Menu Key > Attach file. 6. Touch at the top right of the screen to send the message. Replying to or Forwarding a Message 1.
Working With Received Attachments When a message has an attachment, Gmail displays information about it in the ATTACHMENTS section of the email. Depending on the attachment type, the applications installed on your Spro2 as well as your settings, you may preview, view, or save the attachment. Working With Labels Message labels include both labels you create and default labels such as Sent, Starred, and Outbox. You can organize your emails by labeling them or adding stars to them.

Open the Gmail app and touch in the message list the sender images in front of the messages you want to star. 2. At the top right of the screen, touch > Add star. To view messages by label: 1. Dolphin Browser Use Dolphin Browser to view web pages and search for information. Opening the Browser Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Dolphin Browser to use the web browser. The browser also opens when you touch a web link - for example, in a Gmail. Open a Web Page or Search the Web 1. Open the Dolphin Browser app. 2. Touch the address box at the top of the web page. If the address box isn’t visible, scroll up the screen to show it. 3. Enter the address (URL) of a web page.
Set the Homepage Your home page opens when you restart the Dolphin Browser app. 1. Open the Dolphin Browser app. 2. Touch the Menu Key > Settings > Customize > Set my homepage. 3. Check Use the new tab page to use a blank tab page as the home page; check Customize and touch the website box below to type a URL as the homepage. Using Multiple Browser Tabs You can open several web pages at the same time (one page in each tab) and switch between them freely.
NOTE: Swipe a thumbnail vertically or touch its X to close the tab. NOTE: You can also slide left or right on the top of the browser screen to view all opened browser tabs. Touch one tab to view it or touch X on a tab to close it. Downloading Files 1. Touch and hold an image or a link to a file or to another webpage. 2. In the menu that opens, touch Save image or Save link. 3. Edit the file name and the save location if necessary, and then touch Download.
Maps Activating Location Services To use location-related applications, such as finding your location on Google Maps™, you must have location services turned on on your Spro2. 1. Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Local > Location. 2. Slide the switch at the top right corner to turn location services on or off. Getting Your Location 1. Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Maps. 2. Touch at the bottom. The map centres on a circle that indicates your location. Searching for a Location 1.
NOTE: You can also touch search. beside the search box to use voice 4. Touch the search key on the keyboard. The results list is displayed. You can also touch the Back Key to view red points indicating search results appear on the map. 5. Touch a result in the list to view its detailed information. - or Touch a red point on the map to open a card at the bottom with summary information about the location. You can also swipe the bottom card left or right to see other results.
4. As suggested routes appear, touch one to see it on the map. You can also swipe the bottom card left or right to choose other routes. Slide the bottom card up to see the route directions in a list. Searching for Local Places Google Maps helps you find all kinds of businesses and establishments around you. You can rate these places and get recommendations. 1. Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Maps. 2. Navigate the map view to the area you'd like to explore.
Google Search You can search for information on the web or on your Spro2 using Google Search. Searching With Text You can search for information on the Internet or on Spro2 (such as music, apps and contacts) by entering text. 1. Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Google. 2. Enter the terms you want to search for in the search box and touch the enter key on the keyboard, or touch a search suggestion that appears below the search box.
Changing Search Settings Open the Google app and touch the Menu Key > Settings to set the search options, voice recognition and output settings, change accounts and privacy settings, and set the notification options for your account.
Gallery Opening Gallery Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Gallery to view albums of your pictures and videos. Working With Albums When you open Gallery, all pictures and videos on your Spro2 are displayed in a number of albums. To view album contents: Touch an album to view the pictures and videos it contains. To share albums, pictures, or videos: 1. Touch and hold an item in the Albums view to select an album or after you open an album to select a picture or a video. 2.
Working With Pictures Touch a picture in an album to view the picture in full screen. When viewing a picture in full screen, the following features are available. • Swipe horizontally to see more pictures or videos. • Pinch a picture or video to make it smaller. You'll then see a filmstrip-style view of all your pictures and videos in a row. Swipe left or right to scan through them all. NOTE: You can delete a picture or video by swiping it up or down in the filmstrip view.
• Touch the Menu Key to rotate, delete, share, print, or rename the picture, check file details, set it as the lock screen wallpaper, or change slideshow setting. • Touch Slideshow to browse the album contents in a slideshow. • Touch the Back Key to return to the album. NOTE: Some options may not be available for certain albums or pictures. Playing Videos 1. Touch an album in the gallery and then touch the thumbnail of a video. at the center and select a player to start playing. 2.
Play Music The Play Music application ( ) works with Google Music, Google’s online music store and streaming service. You can stream via Wi-Fi and listen to your favorite songs that you’ve added to your online Google Music library. You can also play audio files you’ve copied directly to your Spro2 from a computer. NOTE: The availability of Google Music is dependent on your region. If it is not available, or you don’t have a Wi-Fi connection, you can only play music stored on your Spro2.
4. Copy the music files from the PC and paste them to your Spro2. Download From the Internet You can download music files when browsing web pages. See Downloading Files. Receive via Bluetooth You can receive music files from other devices via Bluetooth. See Receive Data via Bluetooth. Receive via Wi-Fi Direct You can receive music files from other devices via Wi-Fi Direct. See Receive Data via Wi-Fi Direct. Playing Your Music Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Play Music.
Touch a song to play it. When the song is playing, touch the summary information at the bottom to display the playback screen. Number Function 1 Song and artist information. Touch or drag down to return to the music library. 2 Album artwork (if available). Slide left/right to switch to the next/previous song in the playlist. 3 Give the song a thumbs-up. 4 Playback control. Skip songs, pause and resume playback, use shuffle or repeat. Drag the progress bar to jump to any part of the song.
You can still control the music when you are not in the playback screen. • In the music library of the Play Music app, touch the summary information at the bottom of the screen to restore the playback screen. • In other apps, flick down the notification panel. Touch the song title to restore the playback screen, or just pause/ resume playback or skip songs. • When the screen is locked, the song information, album cover as well as playback control is displayed on the top of the screen.
To delete a playlist: 1. Touch > Playlists in the Play Music app. 2. Touch next to the playlist you want to delete. 3. Touch Delete > OK. NOTE: Certain automatically created playlists such as Last added cannot be deleted.
Video Player Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Video Player to view your video library and play various kinds of videos. Playing and Controlling Videos Touch a video in the video library to play it. The following video play screen appears. Number Function 1 Drag the progress bar to jump to any part of the video. You can also slide horizontally on the video to rewind or fast forward. 2 Crop the video or fit it to the screen. 3 Pause or resume, skip to the previous or next video.
NOTE: Slide vertically on the right or left part of the screen to adjust screen brightness or video volume. Managing Video Files Delete a Video Clip 1. Touch and hold a video in the video library. 2. Touch Delete > OK. Sort Video Clips 1. Touch the Menu Key > Sort in the video library. 2. Choose to sort your videos by Name, Size, Type or Time. NOTE: You can also touch the Menu Key > Settings in the video library to configure the video player settings.
Sound Recorder Sound Recorder enables you to record voice memos and listen to them whenever you like. 1. Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Sound Recorder. to start recording. During recording, you can do 2. Touch the following: f Touch / f Touch > Delete to cancel the recording. 3. Touch to pause or continue the recording. to stop recording. The memo is automatically saved. You can touch to play it immediately, or touch or at the top right corner to share or delete the recording.
More Apps Chrome™ Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Chrome to browse the Internet. Chrome on your Spro2 can sync bookmarks, browsing history, and opened tabs from your Google account, so that you can maintain the same experience across your Spro2, phone, PC, tablet and other devices. Dolby Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Dolby to select or customize a Dolby profile. You can also touch Dolby.
Drive Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Drive. The Drive app allows you to store files on Google servers for free after you sign in to your Google account. You can access them on your computers, your phones and other devices, share them, or collaborate with others. File Manager Quickly access all of your images, videos, audio clips, and other types of files on your internal storage, the microSDHC card and the connected USB device. Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > File Manager.
Google+ Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Google+. After signing in to your Google account, you can connect with friends and family with this app. Google+ allows you to set up circles of people to organize them into groups for sharing content. You can create hangouts for group or 1-to-1 chats, upload photos and videos, and much more. Hangouts Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Hangouts. With this app, you can bring groups of friends together into a simple group conversation with text, photos, and video chat.
WPS Office Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > WPS Office. You can use the app to open or create Word, Excel, PowerPoint and TXT files, and read PDF files on your Spro2. YouTube Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > YouTube. You can watch videos and share your own with your friends, family, and the world.
Google Play™ Store Touch the Home Key > APPS tab > Play Store. You can buy or rent music, books, movies, apps, and download them to your Spro2. NOTE: The content you can access in Google Play Store depends on your region. Browsing and Searching for Apps You can browse apps by category. Touch a top-level category, such as GAMES and touch the app from any subcategory. You can also search for apps using an app’s name or description, or the developer’s name. Just touch and enter the search terms.
CAUTION: Once installed, some apps can access many functions or a significant amount of your personal data. The Play Store will show you what the app can access. Touch ACCEPT to proceed, or touch the Back Key to cancel. 2. Wait for the app to be downloaded and installed automatically. Payment needs to be authorized before paid apps start downloading. The app is successfully installed when a notification icon appears in the status bar. You can find the new app after touching the Home Key > APPS tab.
WARNING! When you’ve used Google Wallet once to purchase items from the Google Play Store app, Spro2 remembers your password so you don’t need to enter it the next time. For this reason, you should secure your Spro2 to prevent others from using it without your permission. Managing Your Downloads After you’ve downloaded and installed an app, you can rate it, view it in a list with your other downloaded apps, configure it to update itself automatically, and so on. View Your Downloaded Apps 1.
Settings Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System or Projector. The setting options contain most of the tools for customizing and configuring your Spro2. Network Mobile Hotspot Share your Spro2’s mobile data connection via Wi-Fi. See Share Your Mobile Data Connection as a Wi-Fi Hotspot. Airplane Mode Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network and swipe the ON/OFF switch beside Airplane mode to turn airplane mode on or off.
Bluetooth Turn Bluetooth on or off and configure your Bluetooth connections. See Connecting to Bluetooth® Devices. Mobile Networks Control mobile data use, select mobile network and check the access point name. See Connecting to Mobile Networks. Data Usage Touch the ON/OFF switch to turn on or off mobile data.
USB Tethering and Bluetooth Tethering Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > More… and then check USB tethering or Bluetooth tethering to share your Spro2’s mobile data connection with PCs or other devices via USB or Bluetooth. See Share Your Mobile Data Connection via USB and Share Your Mobile Data Connection via Bluetooth. View Verizon Account Touch the Home Key > SETTINGS tab > System > Network > More… > View Verizon Account to check your Verizon account and other information.
• Sleep: Set the length of time of inactivity before the screen turns off automatically. • Font size: Set the font size of the text on the screen. • Pulse notification light: Flash the indicator light to notify you of new events, such as the arrival of a new Gmail message. • Touch key light duration: This feature lets you control the backlight of the touch keys (the Home Key, the Back Key, and the Menu Key). Choose one of the following options to set the backlight duration.
Storage Check memory information for your internal storage and the microSDHC card as well as the USB device when they are available. You can choose the default location for new data, such as files downloaded and voice recorded. Touch Save location and select Device or SD card to store items in the internal storage or the installed microSDHC card. Touch Unmount SD card to unmount the microSDHC card from your Spro2 so that you can safely remove the card while Spro2 is on.
Accounts Manage your accounts and synchronization. Touch Add account to sign in to or create accounts on your Spro2. Touch an account type to see that type of accounts you have added and adjust the accounts settings. Local Apps See apps installed on your Spro2 and manage them. Touch an app in the DOWNLOADED, RUNNING, or ALL tab to see its information. You can stop the app, uninstall the app, or clear data and cache. NOTE: Not all applications can be uninstalled.
• Make pattern visible: Show the pattern as you draw it. This option is available when unlock pattern is set. • Automatically lock: Set the time needed for the lock protection to be activated after the screen turns off. This option is available when unlock pattern, PIN or password is set. • Power button instantly locks: Lock protection is activated immediately when you press the Power Key. This option is available when unlock pattern, PIN or password is set.
• • • • Storage type: Check the credential storage type. Trusted credentials: Display trusted CA certificates. Install from SD card: Install certificates from the microSDHC card. Clear credentials: Delete all certificates. Backup and Reset • Back up my data: Back up app data, Wi-Fi passwords, and other settings to Google servers after you sign in to your Google account. • Back up account: Set the Google account that the data is backed up to.
• KEYBOARD & INPUT METHODS: Configure text input settings. See Input Method Settings. • Voice Search: X Languages: Select the language you use when entering text by speaking or searching by speaking. X Speech output: Control when your Spro2 should output speeches. X X X X • “OK Google” Detection: When this is enabled, you can say “OK Google” when using the Google app rather than touching the microphone icon to initiate a voice search or action.
X • Default language status: Check whether the text-to-speech output feature supports the current system language. Pointer speed: Select how fast the pointer/mouse should scroll when you connect Spro2 to a trackpad or mouse accessory. Date and Time Set date, time, time zone, and how date and time are displayed. You can also use network-provided data. Accessibility Configure accessibility plug-ins on your Spro2, such as using TalkBack for low-vision users.
Developer Options Developer options contains settings that are useful when developing Android applications. The menu is hidden until you touch SW Version in the About device menu 7 times. WARNING! The developer option settings are intended for development use only. They can cause your Spro2 and applications on it to break or misbehave. About Device View Spro2’s status, legal information and other information.

The projector can adaptively gain up regions of an image that are dim relative to the average picture level. CAIC: Enable or disable the Content-Adaptive Illumination Control feature. The projector can automatically adjust illumination power to consume less battery while maintaining constant image brightness.
Troubleshooting If you encounter problems while using Spro2, or if it performs abnormally, you can refer to the chart below. If your particular problem cannot be resolved using the information in the chart, contact the dealer where you purchased Spro2.
