Switching to silent or vibration mode
You can set the phone to silent or vibration mode by using one of the
following methods:
Press the Volume key when no media application is active to show the
volume management window. Drag the ringtone volume slider to the left
or press and hold the Volume down key to switch the phone to vibration
mode. Press the Volume down key again in vibration mode to switch the
phone to silent mode.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the notication panel, and
swipe down again to access the Quick Settings. Tap Sound, Vibrate, or
Silent to switch the phone to vibrate or silent mode or turn on the sound
(see Knowing the basics – Managing notications – Using Quick Settings).
Press the Home key > > Settings > Sound > Notication mode and
select Vibrate or Mute to switch to vibration or silent mode.
Note: Refer to Using Do not disturb mode below for another method.
Using Do not disturb mode
You can limit interruptions with Do not disturb mode. This mode silences your
phone so that it doesn’t make sounds or vibrate when you don’t want it to.
Turning on Do not disturb mode
1. Press the Home key > > Settings > Sound > Do not disturb.
2. Tap Do not disturb and choose an option:
• Tap Always to immediately enable the feature.
Tap Scheduled to enable the feature for a selected time period. Under
Set schedule, tap Days, Start time, and End time to make selections.
3. Tap Disturb rules and choose an option:
Tap Priority only to allow only notications that you have marked as
priority. Set these under Priority interruptions.
Tap Alarms only to allow only alarms.
Tap Total silence to block all notications.
Notes:
To set a Do not disturb exception for a specic app, press the Home
key > > Settings > Notications. Select the app you want, and then
tap to enable Override Do Not Disturb to allow its notications in Priority
only mode.
You can also enable Do not disturb mode from the Quick Settings menu.
Swipe down twice to open Quick Settings, and then tap Do not disturb.
Adjust the settings and tap DONE when ready or MORE SETTINGS for the
full menu.
To quickly turn off Do not disturb mode, press the Volume key and tap
END NOW.
Applying new wallpapers
You can set the wallpaper for the home screen and lock screen.
1. Press and hold an empty area of a home screen.
2. Tap Lock screen or Home screen.
3. Tap Wallpapers.
4. Swipe left or right on the wallpaper panel to select a wallpaper, or tap
GALLERY or LIVE WALLPAPER to choose the image or animation you want
to use as the wallpaper.
