You can use Messaging to exchange text messages
(SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS).
Opening the Messaging
Screen
Press the Home Key > .
The Messaging screen opens where you can create a
new message, search for messages, or open an ongoing
message thread.
• Tap
to write a new text or multimedia message.
• Tap
to search for a message using keywords.
• Tap an existing message thread to open the
conversation.
Sending a Text Message
1. On the Messaging screen, tap .
2. Add recipients in one of the following ways:
• Tap the To field and manually enter the
recipient’s number or the contact name. If the
phone presents a few suggestions, tap the one
you want to add.
• Select recipients from your contacts by
tapping
.
3. Tap the Type message field and enter the content
of your text message.
4. If you want to send a multimedia message, tap
to attach a file or a slideshow to the message.
5. Tap
.
NOTES:
• You can also include email addresses as recipients
for multimedia messages.
• Do not add any attachment if you want to send a
text message. Otherwise you may be charged for a
multimedia message.
Replying to a Message
Messages you receive are appended to existing threads
of the same number. If the new message comes from a
new number, a new thread is created.
1. On the Messaging screen, tap the thread that has
the message you want to reply to.
2. Type your reply in the text box at the bottom. You
can tap
if you want to reply with an MMS.

Forwarding a Message
1. On the Messaging screen, tap the thread that has
the message you want to forward.
2. Tap the message.
3. Tap Forward in the menu that opens.
4. Enter a recipient for the message and edit the
content if needed.
5. Tap .
Copying a Message
You can copy text messages in the phone storage to the
micro-UIM card, or vice versa.

1. On the Messaging screen, tap the thread that has
the message you want to copy.
2. Tap the message and then tap Copy to SIM card.
Copying a Text Message from the
micro-UIM Card to the Phone
1. On the Messaging screen, tap > Settings >
Manage SIM card messages.
2. Tap and hold a message and then tap Copy to
phone memory.
Deleting Messages or
Threads
Deleting Messages in a Thread
1. On the Messaging screen, tap a thread.
2. Tap
> Select item(s).
3. Tap the messages you want to delete.
4. Tap
> OK.

1. On the Messaging screen, tap and hold one thread
you want to delete.
2. If there are more threads you want to delete, tap
them one by one.

> OK.
Changing Message Settings
Tap > Settings in the Messaging screen to change
Message settings.
