e-Talk 8400
The e-talk 8400 is our entry level dynamic display augmentative and alternative communication aid. The eTalk-8400 is
designed for use by any non-vocal individual who can access the device using the touch screen, any USB input device, or
one- and two-switch scanning to select cells illustrated by individual or combined symbols, pictures, or text, or by spoken
sounds, to spell words, choose phrases, and write sentences in order to produce voice output. ZYGO e-Talk products
feature a loud, internal speaker, amplifying sound so users will be able to be heard in a variety of noisy settings.
The 8400 is a dedicated speech generating device that is smaller than a
standard PC tablet, yet larger than a handheld device. It has an extremely
bright, easy-to-see, 8.4" Poly-silicon (LTPS) touch screen viewable in any
lighting condition.

The eTalk-8400 utilizes our lightning-fast e-Talk 1.5 software with DECtalk speech. You can easily create new pages, alter
the number of buttons on a page, find symbols, change colors and spacing, plus much more. It is also easy for the
clinician to create page sets entirely on the PC and download vocabulary to the client’s e-talk 8400.
