1.7 ZyXEL G-220F Modes
You can set your ZyXEL G-220F to operate in either wireless station or access point (AP)
modes.
In wireless station mode, your ZyXEL G-220F must connect to a peer wireless station or an
AP to take part in your wireless network.
In access point mode, your ZyXEL G-220F functions as an access point. This allows you to set
up your wireless network without using a dedicated AP device. Up to 16 wireless stations can
associate to the ZyXEL G-220F to form a wireless network. Refer to Section 1.7.1 on page 23
and Chapter 4 on page 50 for more information.
Note: With WZC, you cannot use the ZyXEL G-220F as an access point.
1.7.1 Change ZyXEL G-220F Mode
To change between the modes, select either the Station Mode or AP Mode option in any
ZyXEL Utility screens.
