13 Telnet Configuration and
Capabilities
About Telnet Configuration
When you first configure your Prestige, it must be done via a computer
connected to the RS-232 port. However, once the Prestige has been
initially configured, you can use telnet to configure the device
remotely as shown below:

In order to configure your Prestige in this way, you need to have
assigned an IP Address to your device and have connected it to your
network. See Chapter 3 for more information on assigning an IP
Address. Once this is configured, any station on the LAN or remote
network that has TCP/IP installed can use telnet remote
