13.2 Pa re nta l C o ntro l
Parental Control allows you to block specific URLs. You can also define time periods and days during
which the EMG3435-Q20A performs parental control on a specific user.
13.2.1 G e ne ra l Sc re e n
Use this screen to enable parental control, view the parental control rules and schedules.
In Expe rt mode, click Applic a tio ns > Pa re nta l C o ntro l > G e ne ra l to open the following screen.

General
Parental Control Select Ena ble to activate parental control. Otherwise, select Disa ble to turn it off.
Add new rules Click this if you want to configure a new parental control rule.
Parental Control Rules
# This shows the index number of the rule.
Status This indicates whether the rule is active or not.
A yellow bulb signifies that this rule is active. A gray bulb signifies that this rule is not active.
User Name This shows the name of the user to which this rule applies.
Schedule This shows whether the user is able to access the Internet through the EMG3435-Q20A (Allo w) or
not (Bloc k) at the moment.
Modify Click the Edit icon to go to the screen where you can edit the rule.
Click the De le te icon to delete an existing rule.
Bonus If the user is currently not permitted to access the Internet, you can click the Bo nus to allow
access for a specified period of time. A screen then displays allowing you to set how long (in
minutes) the user is allowed to access the Internet.
This button is grayed out if the user is now able to access the Internet.
