16.3 EMG 3435- Q 20A Ac c e ss a nd Lo g in
I don’t know the IP address of my EMG3435-Q20A.
6 The default IP address of the EMG3435-Q20A in Ro ute r Mo de is 192.168.1.1. If the EMG3435-Q20A obtains
a WAN IP address in the same subnet as the LAN IP address 192.168.1.1, the default LAN IP address will
be changed to 10.0.0.1 automatically. See
Auto-IP Change on page 74 for more information.
The default IP address of the EMG3435-Q20A in Ac c e ss Po int Mo de is 192.168.1.2.
7 If you changed the IP address and have forgotten it, you might get the IP address of the EMG3435-Q20A
in Ro ute r Mo de by looking up the IP address of the default gateway for your computer. To do this in most
Windows computers, click Sta rt > Run, enter c m d, and then enter ip c onfig . The IP address of the De fa ult
G a te wa y might be the IP address of the EMG3435-Q20A (it depends on the network), so enter this IP
address in your Internet browser.
8 If your EMG3435-Q20A in Ac c e ss Po int Mo de is a DHCP client, you can find your IP address from the
DHCP server. This information is only available from the DHCP server which allocates IP addresses on your
network. Find this information directly from the DHCP server or contact your system administrator for
more information.
9 Reset your EMG3435-Q20A to change all settings back to their default. This means your current settings
are lost. See
Section 16.5 on page 164 in the Tro ub le sho o ting for information on resetting your EMG3435-
Q20A.
I forgot the password.
1 The default password is 1234.
2 If this does not work, you have to reset the device to its factory defaults. See
Section 16.5 on page 164.
I cannot see or access the Lo g in screen in the Web Configurator.
1 Make sure you are using the correct IP address.
2 The default IP address of the EMG3435-Q20A in Ro ute r Mo de is 192.168.1.1. If the EMG3435-Q20A obtains
