7.1 O ve rvie w
Use your EMG3435-Q20A as an access point (AP) if you already have a router or gateway on your
network. In this mode your EMG3435-Q20A bridges a wired network (LAN) and wireless LAN (WLAN) in
the same subnet. See the figure below for an example.

Many screens that are available in Route r Mo d e are not available in Ac c e ss Point Mo de , such as
bandwidth management and firewall.
