43.7 Custom Default
Use this screen to allow a customized default file to be used when you reboot the Switch.
These are the notes for the GS2210 Series. When the custom default feature is enabled:
• Config 1 will be used as the start-up configuration file when you restart the Switch manually.
• Config 2 can’t be used.
Select the checkbox in the Active field to enable the custom default feature.

If Custom Default is enabled, the Config 2 buttons in the Management > Maintenance screen won’t be
available.
Filename This field displays the name of the auto configuration file that is loaded after you reboot the
Switch.
None - Auto configuration is not enabled, or an auto configuration file is not found on the
TFTP server after you reboot the Switch.
Active Select the checkbox to enable auto configuration.
Mode This field shows DHCP. When auto configuration is enabled, the Switch will receive
information on the TFTP server IP address from the DHCP server. The Switch will know where
to load a configuration file, and which auto configuration file to load to the Switch.
Apply Click Apply to save your changes to the Switch’s run-time memory. The Switch loses these
changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to
save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
Cancel Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh.
