60.1.2 What You Need to Know
The following terms and concepts may help you as you read through the chapter.
Extension Portal Login
1 Open Internet Explorer (the extension portal supports Internet Explorer).
2 Type “https://” and the IP address of the ISG50 (for example, the default LAN IP address is
192.168.1.1) in the Location or Address field. Press [ENTER]. To protect against brute force,
password-guessing attacks, the ISG50 blocks an account’s access for 60 minutes after 3
consecutive, failed login attempts. You can use the commands to change this.
3 Continue past any warning messages to the Login screen. Click the Extension Portal tab.

4 Enter your extension number and the associated web password in the upper part of the login screen
and click Login.
Note: The web password is set up by the administrator when the extension is initially
created. See Chapter 29 on page 453.
5 Click the message at the top of the screen to have Internet Explorer install the web phone add-on.
Then select your language.
