Application Screens
10.1 Overview
This chapter introduces the NSA Application screens.

10.1.2 What You Need to Know About The Application Screens
FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a file transfer service that functions across the Internet. A
system running the FTP server accepts commands from a system running an FTP client. FTP
is not a secure protocol. Your file transfers could be subject to snooping.
FTPES (File Transfer Protocol over Explicit TLS)
File Transfer Protocol over Explicit TLS (FTPES) is a file transfer service that uses TLS
(Transport Layer Security) for secure transfers across the Internet.
