The 3M™ protective suit 4515 provides protection against hazards such as hazardous dust (type 5), light liquid splashes and radioactive contaminated particles. It meets the requirements of a range of standards for chemical protective clothing, including EN 1073-2 protection against radioactive contamination, EN ISO 13688, EN 13034 type 6 against liquid splashes and EN ISO 13982-1 type 5 against fine dust. It consists of SMS material, one layer of inner and outer spinning fleece, and one layer of meltblown material between them. The spunbound fabric provides strength and splash protection, while the meltblown layers form a complex microfiber fleece that filters out dry particles. Preferably for applications with particle or fiber loading (for example, asbestos removal or cement production). The material is 50 g/m² thick and offers optimum tear resistance and long wearing comfort.
