The Alere BinaxNOW® RSV Test Kit is an in vitro immunochromatographic assay that rapidly detects respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) fusion protein antigen from symptomatic patients. Aids in the diagnosis of RSV infections in patients under the age of 5. It provides reliable, highly accurate results in just 15 minutes, with no hands-on time. Convenient and efficient to use, it can be used with either nasal wash or nasopharyngeal swab samples,or alongside Alere BinaxNOW® Influenza A&B Card using the same patient sample. Parents can be assured that they are given critical care instructions before leaving the pediatrician’s office. With shelf life of 24 months.
