The four Discrete 4 console preamps have a completely discreet design consisting of six "matched" transistor. These preamps have a sound unbelievable already in itself, but the Discrete 4 goes further with the integrated Accusonic modeling, which emulates in real time classic microphones and preamps. You can live an authentic mix of 10 different mic preamps together with tube, transformer and FET microphones, without artifacts or latency. Sources can be captured with and without Accusonic models, allowing you to choose between mic and preamp models during mixing. Although these preamps work with any microphone, really shine with the Edge and Verge microphones by Antelope.
