AnyBus X gateway – Modbus RTU Slave – J1939 The AnyBus X gateway connects a Modbus RTU serial network to a J1939 (CAN) commercial vehicle network. The gateway is a slave in the Modbus network and allows the Modbus master to read and write data in the J1939 network. SIMPLE COMMISSIONING - NO PROGRAMMING REQUIRED HMS provides a free Windows-based configuration tool (BWConfig) for the X-gateway. This PC-based software allows users to assign J1939 parameter data (PGN) to a memory area that can be addressed via the gateway's Modbus RTU interface During configuration, an I/O table is created with selected J1939 PGNs that are read or written from the J1939 network. The configuration tool BWConfig assigns the I/O table to an address range that is accessible to the Modbus RTU interface of the gateway.
