The Xdirect is a high quality active interface that you allows you to connect your instruments audio signals, of line or even for speakers at any entrance balanced. Single-ended, high-impedance jack inputs 1/4 "or XLR are buffered and converted by a circuit active at very low noise before being sent to a balanced low-impedance isolated output. The Xdirect has an extremely wide and flat frequency response and is in able to handle high level input signals, still keeping the balanced low output isolated impedance. This gives the Xdirect a lot of sound clean and neutral with virtually any source, even with very long wiring in high noise environments, making it superior to any standard active DI box. Xdirect requires a battery or phantom power for work; however it does not create a load on the output of the instrument or audio source, qualifying as such a superior solution for passive pickups or for pickups situations that require extremely long cables.
