Description

An HDMI cable's job is to accurately carry digital signals from a high-definition component to an HDTV. This massive amount of data must maintain precise timing to deliver crystal-clear picture and sound. That's why AudioQuest puts even their entry-level HDMI-A cables through Bit Error Rate tests — to make sure they pass signals as accurately as possible. AudioQuest designed these cables to meet the HDMI 1.3 spec, with support for 1080p video, as well as the new lossless audio formats. You can be confident that you're seeing and hearing every detail. AudioQuest coats the oxygen-free copper conductors with a thin layer of metal to prevent oxidation for the life of the cable. The four main conductors use a very precise twist ratio to help prevent signal degradation over longer runs. The high-density polyethylene insulation includes a gas-injected foam layer for improved stability. A special heating process seals the foam on both sides to maintain full performance despite cable bending and compression.
