The Auray WSF-2216-WP Water-Resistant Shotgun Foam Windscreen is designed to reduce unwanted broadband wind noise and vocal pops while protecting the microphone from inclement weather. It is made from specialty water-resistant acoustic foam that offers added protection for your mic from rain and snow. The density of the foam is optimized to help protect the microphone element from air bursts and moisture without muffling the sound. The WSF-2216-WP has an inside depth of 16cm and is designed for use with shotgun microphones. When used on a shotgun microphone, this windscreen is effective in minimizing wind noise and plosive sounds while keeping the microphone dry. It is most effective in calm to light breeze conditions (0-7mph), with dry weather or light to moderate precipitation. It can be used indoors for protection against drafts caused by air-conditioners.
