The Direct Injection Box (DI) allows you to connect guitars, basses and keyboards (as well as other devices by line) to mixers and audio recorders. I am absolutely essential for a correct match of the impedance e to maintain signal integrity. The DI800 active by Behringer has "buffered" inputs that respect the source signal much better than passive ones. The signals balanced that leave the DI800 have an impedance extremely low (generally less than 680 ohms) and am much less susceptible to noise and RF interference (RFI). Unlike their passive counterparts, the DI Boxes active require an energy source to operate their internal electronics. The DI800 offers two possibilities power supply: 100 - 240V from the nearest wall socket, or Phantom + 48V from the mixer power supply.
