The BestScope BS-8030T Gemological Trinocular Zoom Microscope has a pair of 10x super widefield eyepieces, a 23.2mm trinocular port, a 1x-4x zoom objective, brightfield and darkfield halogen and fluorescent illumination, and a gem clamp. The trinocular viewing head has a binocular head with a fixed inclination to reduce eye and neck strain, and 360-degree rotation capability to provide a more comprehensive view and enable sharing; and a trinocular port that accepts a camera adapter (sold separately). The objective has 90.5mm working distance (WD) and 22-5.5mm field of view (FOV) for examining specimens. A gemological microscope uses transmitted and reflected light to view gemstones. The microscope has brightfield upper (episcopic) illumination that reflects light off the specimen for enhanced visibility of opaque objects, and lower (diascopic) illumination that transmits light up through the specimen for enhanced visibility of translucent and transparent objects.
