Two people, one smartphone, clear audio—no problem: the Boya BY-2MD is a dual-lav mic system that lets you mic up two participants for on-camera interviews recorded directly to compatible iOS devices. Both capsules plug into one Lightning cable, with enough slack to position the talents in front of the camera in a comfortable manner. Simply plug the mics into the supplied cable, and plug the cable into your compatible iOS device. The mics themselves are omnidirectional, giving the talents a certain amount of leeway when it comes to placement. A carrying pouch, two foam windscreens, two lapel clips, and a Lightning adapter cable are included. When you have need for it, the cable detaches from the microphone, leaving you with a 3.5mm TRS to Lightning adapter for your favorite compatible devices.
