Additionally, the filter ring is constructed from aluminum with an extremely durable hard anodized finish. The 90-UVAT is the entry point to Chiaro's filter lineup, and features polished optical glass that achieves 90% light transmission, accurate color, and high contrast. A 3.2mm slim profile filter ring minimizes or eliminates vignetting to benefit its use on a wide-angle lens, and the aluminum ring has also been graced with a hard-anodized coating that strengthens the surface, increases wear-resistance, and minimizes binding. Additionally, strategically placed top knurling also aids with installation and removal.
