The alarm will stop ringing as soon as the door closes. Because it requires no electrical connection, is powered by a standard 9 Volt battery with low battery/LED alert, and is quick and easy to install, the Detex eax-300 provides a great low-cost security solution. The eax-300 can be field-set for door-open times ranging from one second to two minutes, with a 15-second default. A 100-decibel alarm alerts employees, then silences when the door is closed so there is no waiting for a key-holder to arrive.
