Categories

Description

Trajan's column is a pillar of victory in Rome, that commemorates Roman emperor Trajan's victory in the Dacian Wars. This column is based on the Doric order and has a spiraling frieze illustrating this war. It was built in the middle of the Forum in the year 113 AD by the architect Apollodoro from Damasco. Originally made by Alphonsus Ciacconius in 1616, this reproduction print set illustrates the external elevation showing the amazing frieze, and the cross-section showing the shaft with spiral staircase. Each print comes in a piano black frame with clear glass.
