Emtek's single cylinder mortise handlesets use traditional American mortise locks complete with a variety of trim styles, handcrafted from authentic materials. The mortise lock is operated by a key from the exterior, and a thumbturn from the interior. The door is opened from the exterior by a metal handle with thumb grip, and by your choice of a variety of knob and lever options from the interior. Uncompromisingly rugged and beautifully crafted, these locks are suitable for the very finest homes. Note: Norwich Knob, Rope Knob, Rope Lever, and Rustic Lever Handle Styles not available in Flat Black finish. The Classic Brass Collection's knob / lever handles are supported by springs mounted behind the rosettes and sideplates, which return the handles back to the rest position and prevent lever sag.
