Adding a Bullnose Starting Tread assembly to your staircase accentuates its depth, detail and beauty. The round bullnose is standard with a 7-3/4 in. riser height and can be trimmed to your desired height. The reversible tread is 1-1/32 in. thick and can be applied to a left-hand or right-hand staircase configuration. Intended for new construction or staircase remodeling projects, it may require the use of left-hand or right-hand volute handrail fittings as well as pin-top volute or starting newels. Using a box newel is also an option and may require the use of handrail fittings to achieve the specified handrail height required by building code.
