Flamco's Airfix diaphragm expansion vessel is designed for use in cold water lines of potable water systems in combination with closed DHW cylinders and in pressure boosting systems. The use of an expansion vessel results in clear advantages for the user. The expansion water generated during the heating of domestic water heaters is not dissipated by constant response of the safety valve, but is absorbed by the Airfix vessel. This prevents the waste of valuable, heated drinking water. Due to the special flow-through technique, the expansion tank is rinsed with fresh tap water at every water extraction, bacteria formation is effectively prevented in this way. The vessel halves are coated from the outside and the inside, so that even with a possible membrane damage the hygienic quality of the drinking water can not be affected.
