It might seem odd to think of a speaker like the Triton One.R as a "bargain," but this tall, slender floorstander regularly gets compared favorably to speakers costing quite a bit more. It delivers what GoldenEar calls "boxless three-dimensional imaging" with the smooth, non-fatiguing character of its High-Velocity Folded Ribbon Tweeter (HVFR™). By squeezing air — rather than pushing it like a conventional tweeter — the HVFR design delivers articulate nuance with very low distortion. The One.R is the only other model in GoldenEar's Triton line — besides their much more expensive flagship model, the Triton Reference — to use an advanced High-Gauss version of the company's acclaimed tweeter. It contains 50% more neodymium magnet material than previous models in the line, and attains even higher efficiency and greater control.
