The Goodman 2006 AEPF Multi-Position, Variable-Speed Air Handler is suitable for use with refrigerants R410A and R22 (models ending in /16). The Air Handler's blower design includes a variable-speed DC motor that allows for a soft start and stop for quieter, more efficient operation and eliminates the cold blast of air upon heating start-up. Using an ECM motor, the AEPF is ideal for new or retrofit applications. This air handler operates with an air conditioner or heat pump of three different tonnages, The air handler comes factory equipped with an orifice (Flowrater) for the small listed tonnage. If you are matching the air handler with an air conditioner or heat pump of the higher tonnage, the Flowrater of that tonnage will need to be used.
