Repeated unsuccessful attempts to open the vault trigger a lockout function, and the tampering detection indicator reveals when someone has tried to gain unauthorized access. A backup override key provides access in the event of forgotten keypad code or battery failure. An audible alarm and blinking LED provide warning when the battery gets low.
