The speed ring features labeled flex rod holes for effortless mounting of most rectangular, square, strip, or octagonal softboxes to a Bolt VB series flash head, as well as Quantum, Lumedyne and Norman portable bare bulb heads. The sturdy all-metal ring rotates 360 degrees, thereby avoiding reorientation down time, while the self-locking outer ring prevents movement or slipping once the position of the softbox is set.
