The Iota Engineering IQ4-X charge control module will turn any of the DLS-X series of chargers into an advanced four-stage battery charger. This will help keep your batteries in peak operating condition and increase the longevity of your batteries. Lead-acid batteries perform much better and with greater efficiency when the charge controller is used. It implements a standard four-stage charging cycle consisting of a bulk charge, absorption, float charge, and equalization. This will not only charge your batteries faster than a standard charger, but it will also help prevent overcharging, which leads to excessive gassing, and undercharging, which leads to sulfation of the lead plates. It has LED indicator lights to indicate the battery voltage and which charging stage is being performed.
