The SS5's 5-1/4" woofer, ready to kick out the jams. MTX's built their Signature Series speakers to give you great sound. Period. The SS5 component system begins with the 5-1/4" woofer, which features a glass fiber/paper cone housed in a non-resonant cast aluminum basket for maximum accuracy. The cone's stiffness-to-weight ratio allows the woofers to deliver strong output, even when you're using a smaller amp or your car stereo's built-in power. You can mount the system's water-resistant teteron tweeters inside door panels or pillars without worry about moisture damage. MTX designed the system's 2-way crossover for ease of installation, with pre-wired connections for the woofer and tweeter. You can choose between two tweeter levels (flat and -3 dB) so the highs will be balanced with the rest of your music. The crossover's small size allows a variety of mounting options.
