The TLM 102 condenser microphone with large diaphragm defines a new generation of designer studio products from Neumann. Born expressly to reproduce the voice cantata, speech and all applications in the field broadcast proposes itself as an ideal shooting system even for sounds from particularly dynamic instruments, from aggressive and generous sound, like percussion, the battery, wind instruments and amplified ones. From the technical point of view the TLM 102 is a microphone a capacitor with large diaphragm, with polar diagram cardioid, directional, pressure gradient transducer, of compact dimensions - lower than the brother TLM 103 - but with the classic Neumann characteristics. The ability to withstand high maximum sound pressures is accompanied by a slight emphasis on the 6 kHz and the use of one technology that avoids the use of transformers.
