The Norton 5710-689 Powermatic Electro-Hydraulic Pull Side Mount Low Energy Operator is used in applications where doors are typically operated manually but a need also exists for the doors to be activated automatically, such as via wall switches, motion sensors, etc. Its power-adjustable spring operates as a mechanical surface closer during close cycles, when door is opened manually or if power is turned off. “Hold Open” options range from 0-30 seconds (5 seconds minimum required for ADA and ANSI/BHMA A156.19). Unit includes a backcheck valve to slow down the door while opening to prevent a collision with an adjacent wall and to provide some stability against wind. Motor stops if door is obstructed during an opening.
