With the silicone sealant NEW FUGE by Pattex, you can renew your joint without having to remove the old one. Before use, only the existing joint must be cleaned with a damp cloth. In case of severe mold, use an anti-mold spray. Now the new joint can be applied over the old material. For smoothing, simply use the tube tip. If you do not like the result, you can simply remove the sealant with a damp cloth and repeat the process.
