Description

The PCE-USC 20 wall thickness meter is used for non-destructive testing of materials. During the test with the crack testing device, ultrasonic waves are sent through the test object by means of a test head. At interfaces of different materials with unequal density and wave impedance, the ultrasound is reflected and scattered. After determining the runtime of the ultrasound by the test object welding seams can be tested, wall thicknesses can be measured and component faults can be localized with the crack tester. The PCE-USC 20 wall thickness meter is a powerful measuring device designed for appropriate tests. Robust and ergonomic design enables use under industrial conditions. With only 1.4 kg, the crack detector can not only be used as a table device but also suitable for mobile use. At adjustable frequencies between 0.5 … 20 MHz and sound speeds between 1000 … 15000 m/s, steel measurements can be made in the range between 0.5 … 9999 mm.
