Primacoustic CrashGuard

The Primacoustic CG421 CrashGuard is a drum microphone shield for the Sennheiser MD 421 and is designed to help improve your mixes by giving you greater control over the sound of the snare and toms with less bleed from the cymbals. The Primacoustic CG421 CrashGuard is a unique sound-shielding device that prevents bleed from cymbals and other sounds from entering the drum microphone. Once in place, the Primacoustic CrashGuard CG421 surrounds the microphone with a sonic barrier. By reducing the spill from the cymbals, more of the drum sound can be captured. This makes it easier for the engineer to add EQ or increase level without accentuating the sound of the cymbal. The CrashGuard is perfectly matched to the Sennheiser MD 421. It easily mounts to the boom stand using the microphone’s clip to hold it in place, with the CG421 providing two different mounting positions for easier positioning of larger microphones.
