RME OctaMic XTC 8-Channel Digital Mic Preamp and USB 2.0 Interface

The OctaMicXTC from RME is a professional 8-channel digital microphone preamp and USB 2.0 interface that features recording up to 192 kHz, offers AES/EBU and ADAT digital I/O, and supports the powerful MADI multi-channel audio protocol. The OctaMic XTC is equipped with one MADI optical port that provides up to 64 channels of MADI I/O at 48 kHz. It also boasts eight balanced XLR/TRS mic/line inputs. Four of these inputs feature a pad for recording loud sound sources, and the other four can be switched to accept direct Hi-Z input from electric guitars and basses. Each of the eight inputs are fitted with a high-quality digitally controlled preamp. Furthermore, the unit features a D-sub 25 connector that provides four AES/EBU inputs and four AES/EBU outputs.
